FEAR and APATHY

Now is not the time to pull back support for LGBT people’s health and rights around the world. We have learned from AIDS and other pandemics, abandoning groups where it is morally or politically expedient to do so is not only wrong but dangerous to public health.

To protect the remarkable progress against AIDS, and to finally end it, governments must support all those in need of HIV prevention and treatment services, including the LGBT community, as we contend with a growing wave of hate.

On behalf of the Provincial Government of Batangas and our Provincial Health Office, we are deeply honored to receive this Certificate of Recognition for achieving the target wherein 95% of individuals on antiretroviral therapy have attained viral suppression.

This milestone is not just a number, it represents the strength of our provincial health system, the dedication of our HIV care providers, and the resilience of Batangueños living with HIV who continue to access care with courage and without fear or stigma.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our Treatment Hub and Primary HIV Care facilities across the province, whose commitment to quality services, accurate monitoring, and compassionate care made this achievement possible. Maraming salamat din to our partners from national government agencies, civil society organizations, community-based groups, and the private sector for your steadfast support to the HIV program of Batangas.

As the Provincial Program Manager overseeing our provincial HIV response, I personally express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you, our clinicians, nurses, case managers, peer navigators, laboratorians, public health workers and community leaders. Your dedication ensures that our services remain accessible, responsive, and truly grounded in compassion and dignity.

Together, we have shown that when care is inclusive and stigma-free, viral suppression can be achieved, saving lives and ensuring that U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable) is a reality for Batangas Province.

And as we celebrate this success, let us continue striving to achieve the first two 95 targets, ensuring that more people know their HIV status and that everyone diagnosed is on lifesaving treatment. With strengthened collaboration, innovative approaches, and sustained community support, we can close the gaps and reach every Batangueño who needs care.

This recognition strengthens our resolve to continue expanding our services, reaching those who remain unreached, and pushing closer to our vision of ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.

Ang Malvar Youth HIV ADVOCATES ay itinatag noong June 01 2025, Malvar Youth HIV advocates ay under ng Malvar youth for Heidi Mendoza, gayunpaman ginagawa ito sa dahil sa pagtaas ng HIV cases sa ating bansa noong Hunyo. Ang Organization ay pinamumunuan ng mga kabataang malvareño upang mag-hikayat sa kapwa kabataan malvareño at upang mas mapalawak ang kaalaman at tanggalin ang stigma, at diskriminasyon sa bawat kabataan malvareño ukol sa HIV. Ang Organization ay nakikipag tulungan sa Non- Government Organization kagaya ng Protects Upscale Batangas, at iba pang may mabuting hangarin sa kalusugan ng mamamayan.

Ang Malvar Youth HIV advocates ay nakapag sagawa ng initiative proposal at naipatupad ng katulong ang lokal na pamahalaan ng bayan ng malvar at local youth government/ non-government organization kagaya ng SK Federation President, LGBTQIA+ President Malvar Chapter,Pati narin ang Malvar City Health Office at Mayor ng bayan ng malvar. Ang event ay ginanap sa San fernando Covered Court na supportado rin ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Barangay San Fernando, Dinaluhan naman ito ng Malvar School of Arts and Trade Youth Leaders (SSLG), at mga lokal na residente ng bayan ng San fernando.

Ang Initiatibo na ito ay supportado rin ng lokal na pamahalan ng Barangay San Fernando, Barangay San Pioquinto, at Barangay Poblacion.

Dahil sa initiative event of Malvar Youth HIV Advocates ay nabuksan ang oportunidad na mabigyan rin ang bayan ng Malvar CHO ng HIV Testing kits katulong ang Protects Upscale Batangas, at Malvar Youth HIV Advocates. Nag donate naman ang Malvar HIV youth Advocates katulong ang Protects Upscale Batangas ang Malvar CHO ng 1500 FREE HIV Testing Kits na makakatulong sa residente ng bayan ng Malvar.
