This 29th day of July marks a vibrant milestone for the Malimpuec Youth Association. Four years of unwavering service, youthful passion, and community-driven change. What began as a shared dream among a few spirited individuals has blossomed into a movement powered by compassion, resilience, and vision. From late-night planning sessions to sun-drenched outreach events, MYA has stood as a beacon of hope and leadership for the young and the young at heart.

As we commemorate this special anniversary, we take a heartfelt pause to honor every hand that helped build this home. To the past and present councils, who carried the torch with courage and wisdom, and to the members, whose laughter, sweat, and solidarity turned dreams into action—your impact lives on in every program, every banner raised, and every life touched. The echoes of four years’ worth of efforts—flood relief drives, sports fests, youth formations, and vibrant barangay celebrations—continue to inspire the next generation of changemakers.

Today is not just a celebration of time—it is a tribute to the stories etched in every photo, every cheer, and every late-night tambayan that made us family. 𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗪𝗘𝗗𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬 | 𝗔 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹 ✨🙏🏻

Ash Wednesday is the start of Lent, a time to reflect, pray, and grow closer to God. One of the main symbols of this day is the ashes placed on our foreheads in the shape of a cross. These ashes, made from burned palm leaves from last year’s Palm Sunday, remind us that life on earth is temporary and that we should focus on what truly matters—faith, love, and kindness. They are a sign of humility and a call to turn back to God with a sincere heart.

Another important symbol is fasting, which means giving up certain foods or habits to show self-discipline and devotion. Fasting teaches us to rely on God rather than earthly comforts. Along with fasting, prayer and charity are also key symbols of Lent. They encourage us to deepen our relationship with God and help those in need, spreading love and compassion to others.

As we begin this sacred journey, the ashes remind us of our need for forgiveness and renewal. The cross-shaped mark is not just a symbol of our sins but also a sign of hope and transformation. Through prayer, fasting, and acts of kindness, we open our hearts to God's grace, allowing us to grow in faith and prepare for the joy of Easter.
