"What's 9 + 10?" "21."

Happy Birthday to our Secretary General, Kuya Pem!

From writing down meeting minutes and doing camerawork to spamming steam with notifs about Umamusume, here we have our third year secretary running on who knows how much sleep!

Even then, you're like the COMMunity's reliable big bro— kahit minsan nalalate ka sa konti mong tulog, haha. But that's okay! Especially since you always show up whenever you can and help us all out when things get rough. Prod time or otherwise.

Well wishes and congrats on hitting the big debut age! Now get that key to your door to adulthood and go on, make us proud!

And here's the other half of our birthday twins in Talastas!

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗻!

He's the who helps quite a lot with the heavy lifting, haha. We'd apologize, but it's always so nice having a guy to actually carry our equipment instead of it just being us girlies...

Nevertheless, we appreciate all you do for us, Rep! Especially with your skills behind the camera when we're doing our production work.

Keep carrying the team, Glenn! Literally and otherwise.

We hope to see you shine more under the spotlight soon!

On September 28, 2026, our beloved COMMunity Chairperson, 𝙅𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙝 𝙅𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙗, took part in the 𝗗𝗢𝗛'𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 at the Casablanca Hotel, along with other university student leaders and volunteers.✨

The all-day summit gave them all an opportunity to listen, learn, and discuss about mental health and su***de prevention. We, as a COMMunity, are really grateful for chances like these since it's a good reminder that just being around someone can help, even just a bit.

Here's to making places of comfort for one another, and continuing important talks like these. 🌟🫶

Talastas as a whole always enjoys the energy you bring to the room. But inside jokes aside, we all truly do care for you dearly and all that you do— from simple things like joining us in meetings and you giving your all in any role given to you during our productions.

All in all, every single one of us in the COMMunity wish for you to continue thriving, within the org or not! Again, happy birthday, Sheena! And good luck with future endeavors— like with a certain upcoming event, haha! 🫶

On August 17, 2026, our lovely Talastas officers joined the recent Thomasian Orginitiation for their induction as student leaders. 💫

They took their oaths, got thrown into seminars, and were reminded of the new responsibilities and power they all hold— which will be used to serve the student body, for everyone's betterment. ✨

With the recent Orientation Program Seminar (ORSEM) having been held on August 5, 2026, it was nice to get to see our COMMunity still growing! There we ended up seeing new people come into the fray, and had familiar faces easing all the froshes' nerves.✨

And even with the occasional fumbling in between the hours, the day ended with everyone wearing smiles and having made new memories.🖼️

I am [full name], proudly standing before you as an incoming [freshman / sophomore / junior / senior] student and member of the COMMunity.

With the academic year beginning, I once more sling my bag upon my shoulders and step onto campus, recognizing its weight and how it will change as the days pass. Not because of notebooks or more school supplies, but because it carries every lesson I've learned, every challenge I faced, and the hopes and dreams I will continue to hold.

As this chapter of mine unfolds, I find myself looking forward to embracing new opportunities and making memories that will remain with me long after the semester ends. 🤗

Here's to another year of discovering stories worth telling and dreams worth pursuing! ✨
