LAS PIร‘AS CITY โ€” The Philippine Merchant Marine Schoolโ€“Las Piรฑas Campus (PMMS-LPC) - General Education Faculty has officially posted the schedule for the upcoming Final Examinations on the Language & Humanities and Mathematics and Natural Science bulletin boards.

General Education exams are set for October 27โ€“28, 2026. Meanwhile, all Professional courses examination schedules are in the care of their respective departments, set on October 29-31, 2026.

Students are reminded that the final exams will maintain the previous format, using the same Google Classrooms as prior examinations. Everyone is advised to check the bulletin boards promptly to verify their schedules.

LAS PIร‘AS CITYโ€”BSHM Hโ€‘S3A1 & Hโ€‘S3B1 students held their Culminating Event at the PMMSโ€‘LPC Gymnasium. The showcase featured dishes from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao with each booth offering a main dish, bread & pastry, dessert, and a creative cake sculpture.

Presenters shared the stories behind each dish and servers offered samples for everyone to taste. Professors, students, and parents joined in the celebration, savoring the rich diversity of Filipino cuisine.

The activity evaluates student competency in traditional regional cooking, baking techniques, and hospitality service standards.

The Mr. and Ms. Tourism competition concluded yesterday afternoon, October 21, 2026, with the presentation of special awards and the official crowning of the new titleholders.

Prior to declaring the main winners, special recognitions were awarded to candidates for their performances in the earlier segments. The event also featured a final walk from the reigning Mr. and Ms. Tourism titleholders before handing over their titles.

Following the coronation, the event transitioned into the Gala Night, where students, faculty, and participants gathered to celebrate the success of MICE 2026 and wrap up the department's activities.

The sophistication and poise of the Mr. and Ms. Tourism candidates took center stage as the competition move on into its peak yesterday afternoon, October 21, 2026.

Opening the segment, female candidates first graced the runway in breathtaking evening gowns, demonstrating grace, elegance, and stage presence as they represented their respective sections and year levels, followed by the formal attire of the male candidates.

The event then advanced into the Question and Answer (Q&A) segment, where the candidates demonstrated their critical thinking and eloquence in addressing topics on current artificial intelligence (AI) discussions, tourism trends, and student leadership, their insightful responses highlighted both their academic preparation and their potential as future industry leaders.

Yesterday afternoon, October 21, 2026, the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) department continued MICE 2026 with the opening segments of the highly anticipated Mr. and Ms. Tourism competition.

Following the morning's activities, the afternoon session kicked off with a dynamic production number as candidate delegates from the first-year to third-year levels took the stage in casual attire.

The candidates then took to the stage in national costumes, bringing to life the rich heritage and traditions of their assigned countries:

LAS PIร‘AS CITYโ€”The Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management students officially launched MICE 2026 yesterday morning, October 21, 2026, featuring an In-Flight Safety Demonstration as part of the opening events held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.

The In-Flight Demonstration showcased essential aviation safety protocols, passenger safety standards, and standard emergency procedures, emphasizing the critical importance of preparedness and safety in the airline industry.

Following the demos, the morning program concluded with an official awarding ceremony recognizing the activity winners, followed by the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the distinguished panel of judges.

Yesterday, October 26, 2026, the PMMS Supreme Student Council (SSC) and the Philippine Society of Customs Administration Students (PSCAS)-PMMS Chapter conducted a Gender and Development (GAD) and Mental Health Seminar at 2:00 p.m. at the PMMS Las Piรฑas Learning Resource Center, Prieto Building.

Held under the Safe Space Project, the seminar aimed to promote awareness of gender equality, inclusivity, and mental health among PMMS students and employees.

Speakers Patricia Sybil Aurelio and Johann Dale Reyes shared insights on gender and development and mental health, helping participants gain a broader understanding of these important issues.

Through this initiative, PSCAS PMMS Chapter and and PMMS Supreme Student Council reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment within the PMMS community.
