The Philippines has strengthened its engagement on SDG 17 through active participation in international cooperation, particularly in climate finance, disaster risk reduction, and development assistance partnerships. The government works closely with multilateral institutions such as the United Nations, World Bank, and Asian Development Bank to support funding and technical capacity for national development programs.
Public–private partnerships are also widely used to address infrastructure gaps, especially in transport, energy, and digital connectivity. However, challenges remain in maximizing domestic resource mobilization and ensuring that data systems are fully integrated for evidence-based policymaking. Overall, while partnership frameworks are strong, improving coordination, transparency, and long-term sustainability of collaborations remains key to accelerating SDG 17 progress in the country.
