DepEd Tayo- Youth Formation- EG Montilla National High School

DepEd Tayo- Youth Formation- EG Montilla National High School Advocates of Nationalism, Gender Sensitivity, Accountability, and Transparency. Project ANGAT Kabataan is also founded through the following legal basis:

1.

Supreme Student Government, as the highest governing organization in the school, targets to conceptualize programs, activities, and projects (PAPs) that would benefit the adolescent-youth (AY); learners, out-of-school-youth, and the community in general. The council is guided and driven with its mantra “We serve with TINGOG, thus, We LOVE” meaning we serve with Transparency and Integrity, equipped

with Nationalistic and Good leadership skills towards gOod Governance, thus, Listening to yOur Voice is our happinEss. In relation to the council’s mantra, Student Needs Survey (SNS) and Rapid HEEADSS Assessment are being conducted. The survey involved areas of concern such as myself, my studies, my social relationship, my family, and my career. SNS and HEEADSS tool shows that AYs need PAPs that could help them maximize their skills and empowers them (physically), moreover, emotionally healthy (mental health). From then, the word “ANGAT” came out that means uplift(ment), which is suitable for the needs of the AYs- the need for physical and emotional empowerment. The council made ANGAT as an acronym that stands for Advocates of Nationalism, Gender Sensitivity, Accountability, and Transparency for it to be a more holistic project. This is a flagship project of the SSG Council that serves as the support mechanism to the Division’s Youth Optimizing Life Opportunities (YOLO) Program. The project visualizes “Empowered Filipino children and youth who are Healthy, Responsible, Productive, and God-Fearing individuals equipped with Life Skills and imbued with values such as maka-Diyos, maka-tao, maka kalikasan and maka-bansa” (adapted from DM No. 384-A series 2017 and YFD). Thus, it promotes the physical, emotional, mental, social & spiritual development of children and youth through the collaborative support of the school, family, government, non-government organizations (NGO), and the community [stakeholders]. SSG Resolution No. 004 series of 2018;
2. Division Memorandum No. 384-A s. 2017 The Guidelines of the Implementation of Youth Optimizing Life Opportunities YOLO Program in Schools (October 12, 2017);
