The multi-day learning experience equipped participants with deeper understanding of biodiversity, conservation strategies, and the vital role of youth in protecting natural ecosystems. Through interactive sessions and collaborative discussions, the training served as a platform to build skills, share insights, and inspire action toward environmental stewardship.

YLead continues to embrace opportunities that strengthen its mission of youth engagement and environmental stewardship. By participating in this training, we move forward with renewed commitment to educate, mobilize, and lead initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for our communities.

Strengthening connections at the community level continues as a productive visitation was carried out in Brgy. Hangi, Las Navas, bringing together youth leaders in a shared space for collaboration and progress.

The activity centered on the submission of DOLE forms, updates on the accomplishment of the youth organization, and the careful planning of upcoming YLEAD activities to ensure smooth and impactful implementation. The discussion also opened opportunities to address other matters and concerns, encouraging active participation and collective decision making among the youth.

YLead Development Initiatives Organization Inc. remains committed to guiding and supporting young leaders as they take meaningful steps toward community development and empowerment.

A day of learning, reflection, and strengthened commitment to our shared mission unfolded last May 28, 2026 as we welcomed the National Steering Committee (NSC) and the Project Technical Review Committee (PTRC) under the UNDP Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme (SGP-7) for their site visitation and monitoring.

The activity became more meaningful as it gathered passionate youth leaders and environmental advocates from across Catubig and Las Navas including LinisSiklab Matelarag, Green Lumalaog Youth Connect, CUYA—ESCRSD, Catubig Youth for a Green and Sustainable Future, Del Pilar Las Navas (Del Pilar Eco Guard Organization), Community Organized for Responsible and Empowered, Y Green Warriors, and Brgy. Opong Youth Camp Organization. The presence of the Catubig Business Councilor and the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer further highlighted the importance of collaboration between youth and local governance in advancing sustainability goals.

More than a monitoring activity, the visit served as a powerful reminder that collective action fuels real change. Stories were shared, progress was recognized, and future directions were strengthened, all rooted in the vision of responsible stewardship, climate resilience, and sustainable community development. Together, we continue to prove that empowered youth and supportive institutions can transform communities and protect what matters most for generations to come.

YLead Development Initiatives Organization Inc. recently had the privilege of meeting with another international funder alongside Former UN Ambassador Maria Arlene Reazon at MCBPC Regus Business Center. The dialogue created a space where ideas, experiences, and commitments came together, opening opportunities to strengthen initiatives that uplift communities and protect vital resources.

Through discussions on sustainability, leadership, and community empowerment, the foundation was laid for potential collaborations that can expand the reach of ongoing projects and introduce innovative approaches to development work.

Moments like these remind us that progress is built through connection and trust. YLead continues to pursue partnerships that align with our mission, ensuring that every collaboration becomes a step forward in creating resilient communities and a future shaped by shared responsibility and purpose.
