The Lugaw Project

The Lugaw Project The Lugaw Project is a SEC-registered non-profit founded by Liv G. Campo on April 9, 2014. From lugaw TLP (registered at SEC as TLP Lugaw sa Payag, Inc.)

It currently serves the impoverished children of Sitios Garden and Libra in Poblacion, Talisay City; and Sitio Bankal Dumpsite in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu. has become a go-to nonprofit for kids who are hungry, mothers who have no rice for the family, and sick patients. At the height of the pandemic, TLP was able to distribute food packs, face masks, milk and diapers to the families of its children-

beneficiaries and those who sought for help online. Over the last seven years, TLP has provided tutorial classes, first-aid training and environmental education to the kids; financial management to parents and career choice seminars to the young people. It has also tied up with other nonprofits which have been beneficial in sending a number of out-of-school youth back to school, providing for livelihood trainings to parents, and giving of medical assistance, and others.

We’re building a new home! 🏠❤️

Many of you already know that we are restarting our tutorial sessions for children who need extra help with their reading. To make this happen, we are also setting up a dedicated study station, and we've been on the lookout for functional, pre-loved computers (desktops or laptops) and a TV monitor to get it running in the coming months.

But to host these kids, we need a space.
If you’ve been following , you might remember our beloved payag (nipa hut) built in Poblacion Park back in 2014 (see the first photo!). It was a safe haven for the kids until 2019, when the local administration ordered it demolished. Since then, we haven't had a permanent home to cook our meals and run our activities.

This year, we are bringing it back.

We are building a brand-new home in Poblacion! To make this dream a reality, we are still sourcing resources—both for the study station and the construction itself.

If you have any of the following materials to spare, we would be incredibly grateful:

✔️ Amakan (bamboo plaits) & Kawayan (bamboo poles)
✔️ CGI sheets (roofing)
✔️ Timber & Nails
✔️ Functional, used laptops, desktops, or a TV monitor

📍 We are based in Cebu, Philippines and will gladly arrange for the transport/pickup of physical donations.

💖 How You Can Help

If you’d like to support our construction and tutorial fund financially, any amount will go a long way:

We’ll be posting updates on our progress every step of the way. Thank you so much for always standing by the kids and believing in this journey with us!

is resuming our regular tutorial sessions! 📚 With over 40 students—the majority of whom are still struggling to read—we need your help.

To make learning engaging and interactive, we are looking for donations of used, functional laptops or desktops. If you have a working computer to spare, you can help change a child's future. DM us to donate! 💻✨

The new school year is about to begin, and yesterday, we successfully distributed school supplies to 56 wonderful kids of - Sitio Garden.

While our resources may not cover their entire school requirements (like the full 10 notebooks each), our hope is that we’ve provided a strong, encouraging start for these children as they take on a new academic year.

A massive thank you to everyone who stepped up and helped us make this annual tradition possible. We couldn’t do this without your generosity! Until next time! ❤️

🌾 P.S. Our feeding program never stops! We are still actively accepting donations of rice, flour, biscuits, and canned goods. If you’d like to help fill a bowl, please send us a message. Every bit counts!
