The Lugaw Project is a SEC-registered non-profit founded by Liv G. Campo on April 9, 2014. From lugaw TLP (registered at SEC as TLP Lugaw sa Payag, Inc.)

It currently serves the impoverished children of Sitios Garden and Libra in Poblacion, Talisay City; and Sitio Bankal Dumpsite in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu. has become a go-to nonprofit for kids who are hungry, mothers who have no rice for the family, and sick patients. At the height of the pandemic, TLP was able to distribute food packs, face masks, milk and diapers to the families of its children-

beneficiaries and those who sought for help online. Over the last seven years, TLP has provided tutorial classes, first-aid training and environmental education to the kids; financial management to parents and career choice seminars to the young people. It has also tied up with other nonprofits which have been beneficial in sending a number of out-of-school youth back to school, providing for livelihood trainings to parents, and giving of medical assistance, and others.

last May 1 (not April 30 as planned) was participated by 16 kids of Sitio Garden. Four groups played their favorite online game for over an hour. was just a support to this tournament, popularly voted by the kid players themselves. They picked the players, made the rules and set the time and date. On the part of TLP, we just made sure they played fair and they had fun. We paid for the computer rentals and sponsored for their prizes, and food (separate photos).

is hosting its first tournament on April 30. We’ve noticed that there are kids who love to play Roblox, so we talked to them and agreed to hold this little contest. TLP will shoulder the computer rentals (at a comp shop where the kids love to play), and possibly food if there’s enough funds. If you want to help, you can shoulder the game prize. If you’re willing, kindly send us a DM. It’s still summer here in the Philippines and we want our kids to enjoy it by playing their favorite online game.

Christmas Day. It’s a tradition of to give gifts to the children on Christmas Day. Over the last 11 years, our gift-giving is not just a one-day activity. It usually starts at the second week of December and culminates on Christmas Day, and sometimes on the first day of the New Year - in different locations. This year, for Christmas Day, we prepped simple packs of Pretzels, chocolate bars, chips and candies to the children who would come to visit us. To the young minds, small or big, it’s still a Christmas gift. 🎁
