A Photo of President Manuel L. Quezon welcoming the Jewish People.

In the late 1930s, Philippines president Manuel Quezon welcomed over 1,200 Jews from Germany and Austria into an unlikely haven in the Pacific archipelago. KAMPILAN FACTS⚔️

Blood compact (Spanish: Pacto de sangre; Filipino: Sanduguan) was an ancient ritual in the Philippines intended to seal a friendship or treaty, or to validate an agreement. The contracting parties would make a small cut on their palm or "Palad" and pour their blood into a cup filled with liquid, such as wine, and drink the mixture.

KAMPILAN⚔️ more than just a traditional Filipino sword, it is a living symbol of strength, courage, and identity. Once wielded by warriors to defend their people, the kampilan now stands as a reminder of the bravery needed to face challenges in academics, leadership, and social causes.

It carries with it the pride of Filipino heritage, echoing the struggles and triumphs of the past while keeping us rooted in our culture and history. Just as it once protected communities, the kampilan now inspires unity, guiding us to uphold shared values and stand together with resilience.

As a weapon of warriors and leaders, it calls us to embrace not only strength, but also responsibility, wisdom, and honor—qualities that shape us into defenders of knowledge and stewards of tradition.

We proudly present our newly elected officials—your companions, sources of inspiration, and role models of good governance.
