🌱 Puno ng Pag-asa: Planting for a Greener Future 🌱

A successful Puno ng Pag-asa Tree Planting Activity was held at Lantapan National High School - Senior High School ! Heartfelt thanks to MENR Officer Leonard Hope R. Labial of Menro-Lantapan of LGU Lantapan for his presence, providing tree seedlings, guiding us on the importance of tree planting, and teaching proper planting techniques.

Our gratitude also goes to our School Principal, Elvira A. Salvanera who shared valuable insights on the significance of trees, the purpose of the Puno ng Pag-asa initiative, and the realities of our changing climate.

A special thanks to Mr. Welmar M. Galdiano, our dedicated YES-O Coordinator, along with our YES-O Officers and Grade 12 students, for their commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order in our school environment. Together, let’s continue planting seeds of hope for a better tomorrow! πŸŒπŸ’š

YES-O in action. Grade-11 students of Lantapan NHS-Senior High School actively participated during Pulot-Kalat around the school campus and segregated the ecological solid wastes. May these simple acts be applied not only for their school's environment but also to their homes.

Today, we join the global community in commemorating the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. 🌍✨

The ozone layer plays a critical role in protecting life on Earth by absorbing harmful ultraviolet radiation, which helps prevent skin cancer, cataracts, and damage to ecosystems. The Montreal Protocol, a landmark international treaty, has been instrumental in phasing out ozone-depleting substances and advancing environmental protection.

The DENR remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding this global endeavor and fostering a sustainable future. On this significant day, let us reaffirm our commitment to protecting our atmosphere and ensuring the health of the ozone layer. πŸŒžπŸ’š
