"TABANG" para sa mga Camaligueno sa Albay! ๐ŸŒ‹ ๐Ÿฒ ๐Ÿฅš ๐Ÿ˜ท ๐Ÿฆ

Through the collaborative efforts of the Pagsanjan Arkong Bato Lions Club and PCCI Santa Cruz, along with the Rotaract Club of Sta. Cruz Pioneer, a donation drive was organized to provide assistance to the communities affected by the severe ashfall in Albay, particularly in Barangay Camalig.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our other partners who supported this initiative, including Hon. Rizaldy Kalaw, AUB Santa Cruz Branch, and EMC2 Construction Supply owned by Mr. Martin Ke. Their unwavering support made this mission possible.

On May 3 and 4, 2026, a heartfelt relief effort was carried out in the affected communities of Camalig, Albay, to provide much-needed aid to families impacted by the severe ashfall. Organized through the collaborative efforts of the Pagsanjan Arkong Bato Lions Club, PCCI Santa Cruz, and the Rotaract Club of Sta. Cruz Pioneer, this initiative aimed to bring comfort and support to those enduring the hardships caused by natural calamities
The first day of relief efforts took place in Barangay Tumpa. At the barangay hall, volunteers and organizers worked tirelessly to distribute essential supplies and hot meals to the residents. The dayโ€™s activities began early in the morning with the procurement of ingredients for lugaw, a traditional rice porridge. This was followed by the cooking process, ensuring that fresh, warm food was ready for distribution. Aid was handed out to more than 150 individuals and families who had gathered at the barangay hall. The relief package included 150 bottles of water, 150 biscuits, 120 boiled eggs, and a pot of lugaw, all of which aimed to provide nourishment and comfort during these challenging times. The effort was met with gratitude from the community, whose resilience was evident despite the difficulties they faced.

The following day, on May 4, the team extended their outreach to Barangay Sua. Similar preparations took place, with ingredient procurement . We extend our deepest gratitude to all volunteers, partners, and donors who made this initiative a success. Every act of kindness, no matter hohappening, followed by cooking. The distribution was conducted at the barangay hall in Sua. This time, the aid included 150 biscuits, 150 bottles of water, 120 boiled eggs, and another pot of lugaw. It is important to note that the number of beneficiaries exceeded 150, as many families arrived together, and some households were larger than what the pictures and official counts might suggest. The residents of Sua had also been heavily affected by the ashfall, with many families in urgent need of assistance and relief.

This relief effort would not have been possible without the dedication and generosity of everyone involvedw small, significantly alleviates the suffering of our fellow Filipinos. As we continue to face challenges brought about by natural disasters, let us remain united in our efforts to build a brighter, more resilient future for all communities. Together, we can make a lasting difference and bring hope to those in need.

''Youth Mental Health, Anti-Drug, and Terrorism Prevention'' ๐Ÿ’Š ๐Ÿง  ๐Ÿฆ

The Pagsanjan Arkong Bato Lions Club, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Sta. Cruz Pioneer, proudly organized and hosted an impactful seminar focused on critical issues affecting our youth today: mental health awareness, anti-drug advocacy, and terrorism prevention.

This event was specifically designed for the youth organization as part of the Local Youth Development Organization (LYDO) Santa Cruz Laguna, which has been a vital partner in making this initiative a success. The seminar aimed to empower young individuals with knowledge, foster resilience, and promote a safe environment where they can grow into responsible and informed citizens.

Our sincere gratitude goes out to all the partners and sponsors whose generous support and collaboration made this meaningful event possible. First and foremost, we would like to thank the Pindot Office for graciously providing the venue, creating a welcoming and conducive space for learning and engagement.

Marinaโ€™s Kusina generously sponsored souvenir bags, which served as tokens of appreciation for our guest speakers, leaving them with memorable keepsakes from this impactful seminar.

A special thanks to LYDO-MYDC Santa Cruz for their active participation in sending a diverse group of enthusiastic youth participants, whose presence and engagement truly enriched the discussion and learning experience.

We are also deeply grateful to the Municipal Police of Santa Cruz, who served as our distinguished guest speakers. Their insightful and inspiring talks were delivered by PCpl. Jeremiah Alcantara and PSSG Roxanne Rosales, providing valuable perspectives on youth safety, anti-drug campaigns, and the importance of community vigilance in preventing terrorism and promoting peace.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the District Rotaract Area 1 RID 3820, led by Richelle Mei Hernandez, whose also our guest speaker and supported and coordination helped in organizing the event seamlessly. Her commitment is a testament to the power of partnership in community service and youth development.

Furthermore, we would like to acknowledge the leadership and support of Santa Cruz Legacy and Santa Cruz Cabizera Lions Clubs, under the direction of CP Ongie Jimenez and ZC/President Marshall Ian Lo. Their involvement, donations, and encouragement greatly contributed to the overall success of this seminar.

We are also grateful to Mam Jennea R. Datay, the Head Officer of LYDO, for her dedication and leadership, which helped steer this project toward its objectives.

We believe that through education, collaboration, and shared responsibility, we can build a brighter, safer, and more resilient future for our youth and society as a whole.

Once again, thank you to all who participated, supported, and contributed to making this event a memorable and impactful experience. Your dedication to community service and youth development truly embodies the spirit of leadership and compassion. Together, let us continue to work hand in hand towards a brighter future for all.

COMMUNITY PANTRY''Bottles for Food Packs: Together We Feed, Together We Lead'' ๐Ÿฆ ๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ’ฆ ๐ŸŒพ ๐Ÿ†

The Pagsanjan Arkong Bato Lions Club, in collaboration with Rise and Rebuild, proudly launched a sustainable community project on April 29th, 2026, at the Pindot Office in Barangay Pagsawitan, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

This initiative aimed to provide much-needed food assistance to our fellow community members while also promoting environmental responsibility through a bottle-for-food exchange scheme. During the event, we distributed food packs containing rice, vegetables, canned goods, noodles, poultry eggs, and various other essential items. In return, recipientsโ€”primarily tricycle driversโ€”were encouraged to bring 30 plastic bottles, which we will recycle and repurpose, helping to reduce plastic waste and support our Mother Earth. We successfully reached out to 155 tricycle drivers, offering them nourishment and a chance to contribute to environmental preservation.

This impactful project would not have been possible without the unwavering support and collaboration of our dedicated partners and sponsors. We are deeply grateful to the Pindot Office, owned by Mr. Dominic L. Bala, who generously provided the venue and donated resources for this project. A special shoutout goes to his staff, headed by Sir Tonichi Espiritu, for their assistance and warm hospitality. Rise and Rebuild, our main partner, played a crucial role by providing vegetables for the food packs, facilitated through the efforts of our passionate marketing chair, Lion Mark Anthony Espiritu.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the Rotaract Club of Sta. Cruz Pioneer, led by incoming District Rotaract Area Representative RID 3820 (DRAR) Jc Lotilla and incoming President Banjo V. Ventolero. Their team offered invaluable assistance in preparing the food packs, gathering donations, and executing various tasks that ensured the success of the event.

Our gratitude also goes to PCCI Santa Cruz, headed by President Filipinas L. Bonagua, for partnering with us and generously providing donations from their members to support this community pantry. Additionally, we are thankful for the collaboration with Santa Cruz Legacy and Santa Cruz Cabizera Lions Clubs, led by CP Ongie Jimenez and ZC/President Marshall Ian Lo, MJF. Their partnership and generosityโ€”especially through donations and raffle prizesโ€”added a special touch to the event, making it more memorable and impactful for everyone involved.

Special thanks as well to RTN. Erick Mojado of Rapide Santa Cruz Branch for generously providing a large quantity of vegetables, which greatly contributed to the success of the food packs and helped us serve more community members effectively.

To Mayor Dario A. Lapada Jr. of Magdalena, Laguna for the additional fund for this project.

We also sincerely appreciate EHome Radio for their support in videoing the project, helping us document this meaningful community effort. Additionally, we extend our deepest gratitude to our Regional Chair of Laguna, Lion Hilda A. Tapongot, PMJF, for her unwavering support and encouragement throughout this initiative.

While we cannot mention every individual or organization by name, please know that your supportโ€”whether financial, in-kind donations, or serviceโ€”has made a significant difference. Your kindness and dedication truly embody you who contributed to the success of this project. Together, we continue to lead with compassion and commitment, making a positive impact on our community and our environment.
