We provide eco-friendly seedlings grown through organic farming practices, making them safe for both people and the environment.

Good day, everyone! 🌱

Recently, we shared information about our available seedlings, and thanks to your support. We received inquiries from more than 150 people in just three days. We truly appreciate your great interest and support!

Because of this, many seedlings such as Guyabano, Chico, and Star Apple are already sold out. Thank you very much! We also sincerely apologize to those whom we could not accommodate due to limited stocks.

However, Cacao and Cashew seedlings are still available✨✨

Current stock:
🌱 Cacao – 7,210 seedlings
🌱 Cashew – 2,423 seedlings
Each seedling are 10 ₱.

For cacao, we are also producing tablea using the DTI Shared Service Facility (SSF). As part of this activity, we also buy fermented and dried cacao beans from farmers for ₱200 per kilo.

Seedlings are available at our nursery in Bacnotan, La Union.

The Area-Based Standards Network (ABSNet) La Union Cluster 3rd Quarterly Meeting has successfully concluded.

The meeting was hosted by Molte Aries International Foundation, Inc. (MAIFI) and was held at ABC Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union, on September 30, 2025.

The meeting officially began at 9:53 am with a prayer led by Ptr. Norva Colleen C. Donahue, Cluster Capability-Building Committee Chair and Treasurer of Arise and Rebuild Ministries Community Outreach, Inc. Afterwards, the participants were cordially acknowledged by Ms. Agnes L. Tambalo, Project Development Officer III - Standards Section.

Ms. Zenaida D. Abat followed by delivering her opening remarks. She shared that it's been 3 years and 9 months since her retirement in which she has been actively engaged in social and community welfare. She also thanked Ms. Glenn C. Cacho, Presiding Officer / Social Worker - Bukas Palad La Union Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. and Ms. Agnes L. Tambalo for their unending support and dedication for ABSNet.

Afterwards, Ms. Glenn C. Cacho moved to the Presentation and Approval of Agenda, followed by the Presentation, Matters Arising/Updating and Approval of the Previous Minutes of the Meeting.

The meeting resumed in the afternoon tackling the Updates from Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) who participated during the recent 9th ABSNet Regional Convention last September 18-19, 2025.

Mr. Czean Ferrer, Executive Assistant/Program Manager - Lorma Community Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI) together with Mr. Domon Kanji, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) - Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer (JOCV), shared the current status of LCDFI's requirements for the Registration and Licensing as SWDA.

Ms. Aurora G. Jucar, Executive Director - MAIFI, delivered her closing remarks. She shared that MAIFI enjoys and treasures the presence of everyone in ABSNet and thanked everyone for attending the meeting and for trusting MAIFI.

With that, the successful 3rd Quarterly Meeting was adjourned.

Plus Ultra!

The Lorma Community Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI), represented by Mr. Czean Ferrer, LCDFI Executive Assistant, and Mr. Domon Kanji, Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer (JOCV) - Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), participated in the 9th Area-Based Standards Network (ABSNet) Regional Convention Cum Election of Officers held last September 18-19, 2025, at Plaza De Castiel Hotel and Spa, Brgy. Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union.

The convention-cum-election was participated by various Social Welfare & Development Agencies (SWDAs) from different clusters (Ilocandia, La Union, & Pangasinan) within Region 1 and was headed by the Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD) Staffs, and Standards Bureau Staff.

Further, a workshop regarding the requirements for the Certificate of Registration and License to Operate (CRLTO) was also conducted by the Standards Bureau Staff as they offered technical assistance to the participants.

Congratulations! Sobresaliente! 💯✨

After a long hustle, LORMA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, INC. (LCDFI) is now ACCREDITED in the City if San Fernando, La Union!

The LCDFI, represented by Mr. Czean Ferrer, attended the CSO Selection of Local Special Bodies at Gregorio “Bunog” R. Hufano Session Hall 4F Marcos Bldg, City of San Fernando, La Union last September 11, 2025.

An opening remarks delivered by Ms. Imelda B. Quindara, CSO Desk Officer of the City of San Fernando, La Union, marked the beginning of the meeting. It was followed by an overview of Local Special Bodies (LSB) reconstitution delivered by Mr. Brix Caesar D. Cafuir, City Planning & Development Coordinator.

Further, the CSOs were oriented by Ms. Lily Ann O. Colisao, City Local Government Operations Officer, regarding the functions and compositions of the LSBs. Finally, to end the meeting, Mr. Anacleto M. Zamoranos introduced the current officers of the Local People's Council (LPC) to the participants.

The Lorma Community Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI) participated in a Tree Growing Activity spearheaded by Lorma - Community Extension at Lubing Elementary School, San Juan, La Union on September 5, 2025. Further, it was participated by volunteers from Student Services and Well-being, Finance Management, College of Physical Therapy, and FESO Transportation.

Fruit-bearing seedlings such as cacao, rambutan, and chesa were planted at their school's Eco Park. Lastly, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed to further strengthen the partnership and commitment of the stakeholders in this green initiative.

After the Tree Growing, the team journeyed to Bacnotan, La Union and visited the BCS-SPED Center and had a discussion for wonderful activities to be held soon with their learners.

A monitoring and repair of machineries were conducted by the Department of Trade & Industry at Lorma Community Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI) - Nursery and Shared Service Facility (SSF) last August 14, 2025.

Machines (roaster, desheller, and melanger) are crucial for the efficient processing of harvests to turn them into marketable products. This visit is necessary so that we can check the status of the machines. Further, this is to ensure their best condition so that the LCDFI can continuously process the harvests of its beneficiaries, which also serve as the beneficiaries' additional source of income.

The Lorma Community Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI), represented by Mr. Ganzon Riñon, LCDFI Project Manager, together with Mr. Domon Kanji, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Volunteer, attended the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Conference 2025 last August 8, 2025 at Function Hall 3F, Public Market, Bacnotan, La Union.

The conference was a crucial step for LCDFI and other CSOs to be accredited. Further, the program tackled the Relevance of Participatory Governance, Guidelines on LGU Accreditation, Reconstitution of Local Special Bodies (LSBs), Avenues of CSO Participation, and the encouragement of forming a Local CSO Network.
