This generation is not just looking for a church to attend, they are looking for a place to belong. Before young people believe, many first need to experience acceptance, love, safety, and genuine relationships.
Create churches that feel like home: a place where people can breathe, rest, open up, heal, and encounter Jesus through His people. Young people do not need to be judged, used, or treated as projects. They need to be seen, loved, and welcomed.
The ministry of Jesus was all about bridging people back to God. Before reaching people with the Gospel, we must first build bridges through kindness, hospitality, compassion, and authentic relationships.
People today are not only asking, “Is Christianity true?”
They are also asking, “Do Christians care?”
Belong comes before believe.
Bridge before you reach.
Relationship creates room for transformation.
As a church, we are called to go where young people are, open our doors, create safe spaces, and intentionally love them. When people find a place where they belong, their hearts become open to believing in Christ.
Don’t just be friendly. Be friends. And don’t stop there, be family.
The mission is simple: Go. Love people. Create a home. Then lead them to Jesus.
