CoMSCA Lalab Joins the Learning Event for CoMSCA Members and Agents

CoMSCA Lalab participated in the Learning Event for CoMSCA Members and Agents held on July 31, 2026, at Royal Suites, Kalibo, Aklan.
The event highlighted the accomplishments and updates of World Vision, as well as the livelihood initiatives and progress of CoMSCA groups. Participants included CoMSCA members and agents from the municipalities of Altavas, Batan, Malinao, and Nabas.

The event was truly remarkable as it showcased the various livelihood projects, updates, and accomplishments of CoMSCA groups from the participating municipalities. It also emphasized the valuable support and assistance provided by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in addressing the needs of CoMSCA groups and helping them strengthen and sustain their livelihood endeavors.

The event served as a meaningful opportunity for CoMSCA members and agents to share experiences, learn from one another, and gain insights that can contribute to the continued growth and success of their respective groups.

Empowering Families Through Sustainable Livelihood

A total of 10 out of 25 beneficiaries successfully received one (1) piglet and one (1) sack of hog pellets under the World Vision Livelihood Project.

These 10 beneficiaries comprise the first batch of recipients, entrusted with the responsibility of properly raising the piglets and sustaining the project to ensure its long-term success and benefit for the community.

This initiative was made possible through the generosity of World Vision, in partnership with the Community Managed Savings and Credit Association (CoMSCA) beneficiaries and the Registered Families of World Vision. The project aims to strengthen household livelihoods and create sustainable income opportunities for participating families.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Ms. April Eden Dologmanding, Program Officer of World Vision and Mr. Lino S. Casumpong, Project Director (Livelihood Project), for their unwavering dedication, leadership, and commitment in making this initiative a reality.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Barangay Lalab Council, led by Hon. Rexelyn M. Guevara, Punong Barangay, for their invaluable partnership and steadfast support in the successful implementation of this project.

Together, we continue to build stronger and more resilient communities—one family, one opportunity, and one sustainable livelihood at a time.

With deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for a life well lived, the family announces the passing of Mrs. Arlene Marcelino Legaspi (December 22, 1962 – February 8, 2026), a dedicated member of CoMSCA-Pinamunitan Chapter.

Her wake is being held at Marcelino Compound, Sitio Pinamunitan, Lalab, Batan, Aklan.The interment will take place on February 21, 2026 (Saturday).
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM at Nuestra Señora de Salvacion Chapel, Lalab, Batan, Aklan, followed by burial at Caeog-a, Cabugao, Batan, Aklan.

Family, friends, and fellow members of CoMSCA-Lalab Chapter who wish to pay their last respects and offer prayers for the eternal repose of her soul are warmly invited to attend.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
