In celebration of the 48th National Disability Rights Week, the Young Peers Society, led by Adviser Ma'am Vilma, President Franz Andres Matias, and the YPS officers, joined the nationwide observance by promoting awareness of the rights, dignity, and contributions of persons with disabilities.

The Young Peers Society remains committed to working together to build a school community where every individual is respected, included, and empowered.

"I can't change it. That was God's plan for my life, and I'm going to go with it." Bethany Hamilton's words remind us that every person has value, purpose, and the right to participate fully in society. As we observe the 48th National Disability Rights Week, let us put rights first by promoting accessibility, protecting dignity, and creating inclusive schools and communities where learners with disabilities and inclusive learners are empowered to thrive. Together, let us turn compassion into action and build a future where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed.

Ethical Value of the Month: Cleanliness

A clean environment does more than improve the spaces around us. It also supports a healthier mind. When our surroundings are clean, organized, and well cared for, we often feel calmer, more focused, and more comfortable. Clean spaces help reduce stress, encourage positive habits, and create an environment where everyone can learn, work, and grow.

Cleanliness is an ethical value that reflects responsibility, respect, and care. By disposing of waste properly, keeping shared spaces tidy, and practicing good hygiene, we show concern not only for our environment but also for the well being of those around us.

As we observe this month's ethical value, let us remember that every small act of cleanliness contributes to a healthier school, a stronger community, and better mental well being. Together, we can create a safe, positive, and supportive environment where everyone feels valued and at ease.

This National Nutrition Month 2026, let us remember that caring for our nutrition also means caring for our mental health. Healthy food gives us the energy to learn, stay focused, manage stress, and build emotional resilience.

As we celebrate this year's theme, "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!", let us choose habits that protect both our health and the environment. By making nutritious food and a healthy planet a priority, we help create stronger minds, healthier bodies, and brighter communities.

Better Nutrition. Better Mental Health. Better Future.

Bullying remains a persistent issue that undermines studentsโ€™ confidence, mental health, and sense of safety in both physical and digital environments. Its impact often extends far beyond the moment, leaving lasting emotional effects.

The Young Peer Society is calling for stronger awareness and collective action against bullying, urging communities to foster respect, empathy, and inclusion. Every act of kindness matters in building safer spaces where individuals feel valued and protected.

As concerns grow, the message remains clear: bullying has no place in any communityโ€”only understanding, support, and respect should define how we treat one another.

Attending the Kabataan, Karapatan Caravan Orientation Workshop strengthened my understanding of children's rights, mental health, and the role of youth leaders in creating safe and inclusive schools.

As the Division Federation PFC Vice President of Isabela, I am inspired to be a stronger advocate for children's rights by promoting respect, protection, and empowerment among my fellow learners. This experience reminds me that true leadership means serving others and standing up for what is right.

Thank you to the Commission on Human Rights Region 2 and the Department of Education for empowering young leaders to become champions of human rights.

Ethical Value of the Month: Self-Esteem ๐Ÿ’œ

There will be days when you doubt yourself, but remember that your worth is not defined by your mistakes or comparisons with others. Self-esteem is accepting who you are, embracing growth, and believing in your ability to improve.

Be patient with yourself. Every small step forward is proof of your progress.

Pride Month is all about being yourself, celebrating who you are, and embracing what makes each of us unique. Itโ€™s a time to spread love, support one another, and help create a world where everyone feels accepted and respected.

The Young Peers Society proudly joins in recognizing and celebrating Pride Month, standing for inclusion, equality, and unity. Letโ€™s choose kindness over hate, acceptance over discrimination, and love over fear.

Together, we can uplift voices, stand in solidarity, and continue building communities where diversity is honored and everyone belongs. We remain committed to fostering safe spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. By supporting one another and celebrating our differences, we help create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
