The Ilagan Green Luzon Project was officially recognized as a vital and outstanding Partner for Resilience by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of Ilagan.This prestigious award was conferred during the 2026 National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) Culminating Activity of the City of Ilagan, Isabela held at Capital Arena, City of Ilagan.

Tignan: Lumahok ang Narra Self-Help Group (SHeG) and Farmers Association sa isinagawang Tourism Awareness and Capability Building Program Seminar.

Nagsama-sama ang humigit-kumulang 60 tourism stakeholders ng bayan ng Echague sa isinagawang Tourism Awareness and Capability Building Program Seminar upang higit pang mapaunlad ang kaalaman at kakayahan sa pagsusulong ng lokal na turismo.

Nagbigay ng mga mensahe sina Department of Tourism Region II Regional Director Troy Alexander Miano, Provincial Tourism Officer Joanne Maranan, at Mayor Faustino “Inno” Dy V, na nagpahayag ng kanilang suporta sa patuloy na pagpapaunlad ng sektor ng turismo sa bayan.
Tinalakay rin sa seminar ang kalagayan ng turismo sa antas ng munisipyo, lalawigan, at rehiyon, gayundin ang mahahalagang paksa tungkol sa tourism promotion, standards and regulations, tourism planning, at human capital development. Nagkaroon din ng open forum upang mabigyan ng kasagutan ang mga katanungan ng mga kalahok at makatulong sa pagpapalago ng kanilang mga tourism enterprise.

Sa pamamagitan ng mga programang tulad nito, patuloy na naghahanda ang Echague tungo sa isang mas matatag, mas inklusibo, at sustainable tourism.

Bilang suporta sa pagdiriwang ng buwan ng nutrisyon, nagsagawa ang Patanad Self Help Group Farmers Association, isa sa mga benepisyaryo ng SAAD Cagayan Valley, ng Feeding Program sa Patanad Elementary School kung saan ibinida ang binatog at kornik products ng asosasyon noong Hulyo 20, 2026.
Bukod sa mga nutritious foods na ipinakain sa mga bata, nabigyan din sila ng assorted seeds at seedlings na itatanim nila sa kanilang Gulayan sa Paaralan.
Layunin nitong maitaguyod ang wastong nutrisyon sa mga bata, maipabatid ang kahalagahan ng pagsasaka, at mahikayat silang matutong magtanim sa murang edad upang malinang ang pagpapahalaga sa agrikultura at seguridad sa pagkain.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊! 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐩 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟒 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐬

In line with Component 4: Environmental Management, the Ilagan Green Luzon team conducted the monitoring of planted trees and bamboos across the four pilot barangays to assess their growth, survival, and overall condition. The activity also identified areas that require maintenance and replanting to ensure the long-term sustainability of the environmental initiatives.

Complementing the monitoring activity, the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), in partnership with their respective Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs), conducted a community clean-up drive, particularly in the livelihood centers and surrounding areas. This initiative promoted environmental cleanliness, proper waste management, and encouraged active community participation in caring for the environment.

These activities reflect the strong collaboration among the Ilagan Green Luzon Project Team, CSOs, BLGUs, and community members in advancing environmental protection and conservation. Through continuous monitoring and collective action, the project continues to strengthen environmental stewardship and contribute to building cleaner, greener, and more resilient communities.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊! 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐮𝐠𝐮 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧

In line with Component 3: Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) of the Ilagan Green Luzon Project, a ceremonial turnover of rescue boats and rescue equipment to Barangay Fugu and Barangay Aggasian was conducted during the Monday Flag Ceremony held at the City Hall of Ilagan on June 29, 2026.

The initiative was spearheaded by the Ilagan Green Luzon Project Team, headed by Mo. Mary Peter Camille A. Marasigan, FLDP, Project Coordinator of the Ilagan Green Luzon Project, in collaboration with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) under the leadership of Ms. Geralyn G. Gañgan, RN, EMT-B, with the full support of Hon. Jose Marie L. Diaz, DMD, MBA, City Mayor of Ilagan.

The ceremony was attended by City Government officials and employees, members of the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs) of the two pilot barangays, and the Ilagan Green Luzon Project Team, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and community resilience.

The turnover of these rescue assets enhances the emergency response capabilities of Barangay Fugu and Barangay Aggasian, enabling both communities to respond more effectively during emergencies and disasters. This initiative stands as a testament to the strong partnership among the City Government of Ilagan, DSAC Ilagan, the Ilagan Green Luzon Project, the BLGUs, and the CSOs in working together to build safer, stronger, and more resilient communities.
