1604th CDC SPEARHEADS 9th SIMULTANEOUS RESCOM BLOOD DONATION DRIVE IN BASILAN

The 1604th Community Defense Center (1604CDC), 16th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, led a powerful demonstration of humanitarian service by spearheading a province-wide blood donation drive in Isabela City, Basilan on 07 March 2026.

This initiative was held at the Headquarters 1604CDC in Brgy. Tabuk, Isabela City, Basilan to commemorate the 129th Philippine Army Founding Anniversary and as part of the 9th Simultaneous RESCOM, PA-Wide Blood Donation Activity. Under the theme “Ang Inyong Matatag na Hukbong Katihan,” the event highlighted the Army’s enduring commitment to the well-being of the communities it serves.

The success of this life-saving activity was built on the seamless collaboration between the 1604th CDC, Basilan Medical Center, and the Philippine Red Cross – Basilan Chapter.

• Tactical Units: Support from the 1101st Bde, 11ID; 6th SFBN; 32IB; 45IB; 18IB; Bravo Battery, 1st FAB, 19SFC,112DRC, Bravo Battery,1st FAB, 2SBN, SPTCOM 1604RRIBN and CAFGU personnel.
• Academic Institutions: Dedicated ROTC cadets from Basilan State College and MACFI-Lamitan & Maluso Units.
• Civilian Stakeholders: Volunteers from the Zeta Phi Omega Fraternity, Alpha Evolution and civilian volunteers.

The overwhelming participation of these volunteers is a testament to our shared resilience. Every drop donated is a gift of hope that significantly contributes to the medical readiness and community health of Basilan Province.

1604th CDC Kicks Off National ROTC Month 2026!

ISABELA CITY, BASILAN — The 1604th (Basilan) Community Defense Center officially launched National ROTC Month with a powerful Simultaneous Flag Raising and Kick-Off Ceremony at H1604CDC, Palar Compound, Isabela City.

Standing in proud formation were the dedicated ROTC Cadets of Mindanao Autonomous College Foundation Inc. (MACFI) and Basilan State College, proving that the youth of Basilan are ready to lead.

Under the theme: "ROTC: Shaping Disciplined Patriots—Stewards of Nation-Building and Pillars of National Security," this month-long celebration highlights our commitment to fostering civic duty and a modernized citizen armed force.

Throughout the month of March, we highlight the vital role of our youth in fostering civic consciousness and advocating for a robust, modernized citizen armed force.

​Look|| The 1604th Community Defense Center (1604CDC) kicked off the Women’s Month Celebration with a solemn flag-raising ceremony held at the Palar Compound, Brgy. Tabuk, Isabela City on 02 0730 March 2026.

​The activity was led by MAJ JAMES AUDIE L JAQUE (INF) PA, Director of 1604CDC, together with organic personnel and dedicated reservists led by LTC ALDAM H SANSAWI PA (RES), Battalion Commander of the 1604RRIBn.

1604th Community Defense Center Leads Successful Blood Donation Drive in Basilan, Commemorating AFP 90th Founding Anniversary

ISABELA CITY, BASILAN – The 1604th Community Defense Center, 16th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army- Basilan, successfully hosted a crucial 8th RCPA-wide simultaneous blood donation activity on 14 December 2025.

This significant effort was organized in connection with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) 90th Founding Anniversary, driven by the primary aim of helping to save lives.

The donation drive was held at the multi-purpose hall of 19SFC, 6SFBN Headquarters, located within the Palar Compound, Brgy Tabuk, Isabela City, Basilan. The success of the initiative was built on strong collaborative partnerships with the Basilan Medical Center and the Philippine Red Cross Basilan Chapter. Furthermore, success was achieved through the collective efforts of organic personnel, reservists, ROTC cadets, and civilian volunteers who dedicated their time and resources to the cause.

The 1604th CDC extended its deep appreciation for the generosity and support received from key individuals, including Hon. Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, the City Mayor, Mr. Bayani Viray (Chowking, Vismin Operations Director), and LTC ALDAM H SANSAWI PA (RES).

This community-focused activity drew broad support from numerous partnered stakeholders, whose commitment serves the community of Basilan. 1604th CDC Opens Basic Citizen Military Training in Isabela City,Basilan

ISABELA CITY– The 1604th Community Defense Center (CDC), operating under the 16th Regional Community Defense Group ,Reserve Command Philippine Army officially opened its Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) held at HQS 1604CDC,Palar Compound,Brgy Tabuk,Isabela City,Basilan on 25 October 2025.

The ceremony was spearheaded by MAJ JAMES AUDIE L. JAQUE INF PA,1604CDC Director. The keynote speaker for the event was COL MOH-YUSOP R. HASAN MI (GSC) PA, the Group Commander of the 16th RCDG(BARMM).

The BCMT is a foundational program designed to prepare and equip civilian volunteers with the necessary military knowledge and skills. The training aims to create a capable reserve force ready to assist the nation during times of war, invasion, natural calamities, and in nation-building efforts.

COL HASAN extended his sincere gratitude to all the volunteers, emphasizing the vital role of reservists in strengthening the Total Army. He stressed their duty to safeguard the state against war, invasion, and rebellion, as mandated by the Constitution and guided by Republic Act No. 7077 (The Citizen Armed Force or Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservist Act).

Upon successful completion of the training, the graduates will be integrated into the Ready Reserve Units organized across the provinces, ensuring a readily available force for national mobilization.

Core Expectations: Obedience, Precision, and Responsibility (OPR)
The Group Commander outlined the core expectations for the trainees, stressing the mnemonic OPR: Obedience, Precision, and Responsibility.
• Obedience: Trainees will learn to strictly follow command and orders, instilling the necessary discipline required of a soldier.
• Precision: This denotes correctness and thoroughness in all actions and duties performed during and after the training.
• Responsibility: As reservists, the trainees will assume the comprehensive duty to protect the country during conflict, actively assist in relief and rescue during disasters, and contribute to socio-economic development.

This training is a critical step in developing a formidable and reliable reserve force, solidifying the commitment to national security and community resilience.

Reservist Capability Enhancement Training

The 1604th Community Defense Center (1604CDC), led by MAJ JAMES AUDIE L. JAQUE (INF) PA, Director, successfully conducted an intensive two-day Tactical and Technical Skills Enhancement Training for troops from the 1604th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (1604RRIBn) from 11–12 October 2025.

The activity was held at the 6th Special Forces Battalion (6SFBn) Firing Range in Isabela City. This hands-on training ensures our reservists remain combat-ready and proficient.

The two-day program focused on enhancing core military skills:
• Precision: An in-depth refresher on the Fundamentals of Marksmanship.
• Tactics: Practical exercises and review of essential Infantry Squad operations, movement, and techniques.
• Proof of Readiness: The training culminated in Record Firing, a tangible measure of their increased accuracy and competence.

The training was conducted in partnership with the 6SFBn. We were honored by the presence of LTC GEOFFREY A. FABROS INF (GSC) PA,6SFBn, Commanding Officer, who passionately reminded everyone of the relevance of reservists in territorial defense and expressed appreciation for their volunteerism.
The 1604CDC remains committed to developing, training, and maintaining a highly capable Reserve Force. We are dedicated to preparing every reservist not only for military eventualities but also to serve our communities during any crisis.

MAJ JAQUE emphasized the mission, stating, "This is more than training—it's an investment in national security and local resilience. We are their anchor, and they are our strength."
