I have been living independently ever since I left home. For many years, I have not celebrated special holidays like Christmas with my family. Christmas is very important to us Filipinos, and not having my family around during this season has always been painful. Someti

mes, I get invited to celebrate with the family of a friend. But most of the time, I celebrate Christmas alone. The loneliness becomes even heavier during this season. I cry every Christmas because I long for a complete and happy family, something many people take for granted. Instead of shutting myself away from the world, I decided to do something different. I gave myself a special kind of gift by bringing joy to others. I chose to share what little I had with less fortunate children. I know how hard it is to spend Christmas with nothing in your pocket and no gifts to open. Even with a regular job and a small income, I save a little every year to buy simple presents. My first Lil Santa Wanna Be event was something I did completely on my own. It was not well known at that time, and I was too shy to ask for help. But I pushed through with it, even with limited resources. When I posted about it afterward, people told me it was a beautiful idea. For the second year, I finally found the courage to ask for donations. Some gave candies worth ten to twenty pesos. Others shared a few coins or bills from ten to one hundred pesos. With the help of a few kind people, the event started to grow. This effort began from a place of personal pain. But it slowly turned into a mission. I want to inspire those who come from broken families or who feel like they are not enough. We all have a purpose. We all have unique gifts. Even if life has been difficult, we still have the power to make a difference in someone else's life. It is not about how much you have or how successful you appear to be. It is about how much love and kindness you are willing to share. I am here today because of the people who lifted me up. My friends, my life experiences, and even my moments of struggle helped shape me. Life is precious, even when it feels heavy. Pain is part of our journey. But it should never stop us from trying to ease the pain of others. We have two hands. One is for helping ourselves. The other is for helping someone else. We help not because we expect anything in return. We help not to change the entire world, but to make the world better for even just one person. A Successful Christmas Celebration
Lil Santah Wanna Be – Iris et al. (Est. 2012)

Our hearts are truly full as we look back on the successful celebration of “A Merry Heart to Every Child”, held last December 27, 2025. This meaningful event would not have been possible without the love, unity, and generosity of everyone who came together to bring joy to our children.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Barangay Hinactacan, led by Brgy. Captain Danny Villanueva, for the warm support and cooperation that made this celebration possible. Special thanks as well to Geo Li Pil for the referral and for being part of making this event happen.
