The flame of faith and youthfulness shone brightly as the Saint Vincent Ferrer Batad Parish Youth Ministry joyfully took part in the Archdiocesan Youth Day (AYD) last November 29–30 in Passi City. This meaningful celebration, organized by the Archdiocese of Jaro, gathered young people from different parishes to deepen their love for the Church and strengthen their mission as young disciples. Guided by the theme “Rejoice in Hope, Endure in Affliction, Persevere in Prayer” (Romans 12:12), our delegates embraced a renewed commitment to serve, grew in devotion to Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, and were blessed as pilgrims ready to carry the light of Christ wherever they go.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported this journey. Most especially to our shepherd, Rev. Fr. Jericho Veñarta, thank you for your constant prayers, motivation, and unwavering support for our youth. We also offer our sincerest appreciation to the LGU of Batad for generously providing transportation for our delegates. Your support ensured that our young participants could safely and comfortably take part in this meaningful pilgrimage. We likewise acknowledge the kindness of the private individuals whose contributions made this experience even more memorable. Your generosity truly reflects the spirit of Christian unity and service.

Throughout the two-day event, our young parishioners experienced inspiring sessions, moments of deep prayer, joyful fellowship, and new friendships that strengthened their faith. Witnessing our Batad delegates participate with enthusiasm and dedication was truly uplifting. They return to our parish with fresh inspiration—ready to serve, to lead, and to become living witnesses of God’s love in their daily lives.

Let us continue praying for our youth as they bring their AYD encounters back to our community. They are not only the hope of tomorrow—they are a vibrant and essential part of our Church today. Together, let us celebrate their dedication and growth. Mabuhay ang Kabataang Katoliko ng Jaro!✨😇

Almighty and Loving God,
We come before You in this time of fear and uncertainty as Typhoon Tino approaches. We ask for Your divine protection over our families, our homes, and our communities. Keep us safe from harm, shield us from strong winds and heavy rains, and calm the storm around us and within us.

Bless those who are in danger, those who have no shelter, and those who are working to keep others safe. Grant them strength, courage, and wisdom.

Lord, we trust in Your mercy and power. May this storm pass quickly, and may we find peace and hope in Your care.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for Protection from Typhoon Opong😇🙏

Heavenly Father,
We come before You in this time of fear and uncertainty. As Bagyong Opong approaches, we ask for Your divine protection over our families, our homes, and our communities.

Calm the winds, O Lord, and lessen the rains. Keep us safe from floods, landslides, and strong currents. Protect especially the poor, the sick, the elderly, and those who have no shelter.

Bless the rescuers, frontliners, and all who risk their lives to help others. Give them strength and guidance.

We entrust our safety into Your hands, Lord. May this storm pass quickly, and may we rise again with faith, hope, and unity.

Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Coastal Clean-Up 2025 | Brgy. Alinsolong.

A meaningful initiative for the preservation and protection of our environment was carried out in Barangay Alinsolong through the Coastal Clean-Up 2025. The St. Vincent Ferrer Parish Youth Ministry joined and actively participated, showcasing the unity of the youth and community in caring for nature.

Our heartfelt gratitude to our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Jericho Veñarta OMI, and to our officers for their guidance and support in this endeavor.

We also extend our sincere thanks to CENRO SARA, MENRO, and the Local Government Unit of Batad, led by the Honorable Mayor Elvira P. Alarcon, as well as to LYDC and other organizations who wholeheartedly participated to make this initiative a success.

May this collective effort serve as an inspiration to continue protecting our natural resources for the present and future generations.
