On August 23, 2026, our JEC Youth and Teens gathered for a meaningful time of fellowship, reflection, and learning through our Human Connection Web. As we shared our stories, experiences, struggles, dreams, and faith journeys, we learned that our differences do not separate us. They give us opportunities to understand, encourage, and connect with one another. The web of strings reminded us that every person has a story, a place, and a purpose within Godโs family.
Through listening and sharing, we learned the importance of being present, understanding others, and building genuine Christian friendships. Like the web, our actions, words, and choices can affect the people around us. Most importantly, we were reminded that we are not meant to walk our faith journey alone. As one body in Christ, we are called to encourage, support, pray for, and grow alongside one another. โFor just as the body is one and has many membersโฆโ โ 1 Corinthians 12:12
More than simply creating a web, the activity taught us that church is not just a place we come to. It is a family we belong to. Sometimes, being a reflection of Christ means simply noticing someone, listening to their story, offering encouragement, and reminding them that they are valued. May we continue to build a youth community where Christ is at the center, where everyone feels welcomed and connected, and where our relationships lead us closer to God.
