The 3-day Cyber Caravan held at Iloilo City National High School (ICNHS) engaged participants in a variety of interactive learning stations designed to promote digital awareness, responsibility, and safety. The activities included the Helping Path, Smart Sharing: Safeguarding Privacy, the Memory Game, Adventure Land, Virtual World Detectives, Traffic Lights, Gallery Pics, and Match to Protect, each offering unique insights into safe and responsible online behavior.
Through the Helping Path, learners explored how to make informed and appropriate decisions when faced with online challenges. Smart Sharing highlighted how emotions and actions can affect others in digital spaces, while Memory Game strengthened participantsโ recall of essential safety practices, particularly those related to Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM). Activities such as Gallery Pics and Virtual World Detectives helped students identify red flags in their school, home, and community, as well as recognize what types of content are appropriate to share online. Adventure Land and other game-based stations encouraged critical thinking and awareness of potential digital risks.
Overall, the Cyber Caravan aimed to empower children and youth by equipping them with the knowledge and skills to recognize, prevent, and respond to social media harassment, OSAEC, and CSAEM. Through engaging, hands-on activities, the program fostered a safer, more responsible, and more informed online environment for all participants.
