Over the past few days, we witnessed brilliant ideas come to life, meaningful conversations spark new possibilities, and Filipino creativity shine through games that celebrate our culture and heritage. AI Game On! IV was truly something for the books, an unforgettable experience that reminded us of the limitless potential of innovation when fueled by purpose.

𝙂𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 by 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐳 𝐒𝐮𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧 from Central Philippine University emerged victorious at 𝐀𝐈 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐎𝐧! 𝐈𝐕. Rooted in the culturally rich tradition of "𝙥𝙖𝙪𝙥𝙖𝙨-𝙙𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙜," Gagambattle is a dynamic 2D multiplayer physics party brawler that proudly showcases Filipino heritage through its custom characters, localized maps, unique weapons, and historical artifacts.

On top of winning the main prize, the game also took home two special awards:

To close out the afternoon session, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐧, 𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐂 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 & 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞, delivered his talk, 𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗜. He focused on leveraging AI tools to move beyond simple vibe coding and build automated, quality-driven workflows.

During his presentation, Mr. Foon introduced Google’s full AI-assisted coding stack, highlighting 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 while clearly distinguishing vibe coding from true agentic engineering:

𝐌𝐬. 𝐑𝐢𝐚 𝐋𝐮, 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐆𝐃𝐀𝐏), opened the afternoon sessions with her insightful talk, 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁.

Her presentation underscored why playtesting is vital to game development, emphasizing that testing early and observing real player behavior can make or break a game's success. She reminded developers to dig deeper into feedback; 𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 behind a tester's reaction rather than just taking their suggestions literally:
