Share Love Charities, Inc. Brings Hope and Compassion to PDLs of Police Station 1

On November 29, 2025, in the City of Iloilo, Share Love Charities, Inc., under the leadership of its founder Ms. Arlene Martin, carried out a heartfelt community outreach program at the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) holding facility of Police Station 1 on General Luna Street. The initiative aimed to uplift the spirits of the PDLs, promote emotional and mental well-being, and strengthen community engagement within the facility.

The event began with an inspiring message from Ms. Arlene Martin, who emphasized the importance of compassion and the belief that every individual, regardless of circumstance, deserves dignity, encouragement, and hope. Her words set a warm and welcoming tone that resonated throughout the program.

Pastor Darwin Solanib followed with an uplifting spiritual reflection centered on healing, forgiveness, and personal transformation. His message offered comfort and reassurance to the PDLs, many of whom expressed gratitude for the opportunity to hear words that nurtured their faith and inner strength.

Adding to the day’s meaningful discussions, Dr. Ma. Lourdes Hembra, a psychiatrist, delivered an insightful talk on mental health. She shared practical guidance on stress management, emotional resilience, and the importance of seeking help during difficult times. Her session provided the PDLs with a deeper understanding of their mental and emotional well-being, giving them tools they could use even within the confines of their situation.

Volunteers from Share Love Charities, Inc. played an active role throughout the activity, assisting in organizing the event and ensuring that each participant felt supported and valued.

The community outreach was made possible through the generous assistance of Mr. Robert Uy, owner of Toyota-Iloilo, whose continued support for civic initiatives helped bring the program to fruition. The cleaning materials he donated made a significant impact on the event and were deeply appreciated by both police personnel and PDLs.

Following the talks, Share Love Charities distributed snacks to all PDLs and police personnel within the facility. The simple sharing of food created a warm atmosphere of calm and serenity, allowing volunteers, officers, and PDLs to enjoy a moment of peace and harmony together.

This outreach reflects the ongoing mission of Share Love Charities, Inc. to serve vulnerable and overlooked communities. Through meaningful partnerships and the dedication of its volunteers, the organization continues to spread compassion, provide support, and inspire positive change where it is needed most.

A Symbolic Tree Planting Initiative by the Global Iloilo Summit Eagles Club

In a powerful display of civic unity and environmental stewardship, the Global Iloilo Summit Eagles Club led a tree planting activity on September 1, 2025, at 7:30 in the morning, at the bridge on the floodway near the Highway Patrol Group Headquarters in Bitoon, Iloilo. The initiative, themed “The Tree You Plant Is A Generation You Save,” brought together a constellation of organizations and individuals committed to greening the future—one tree at a time.

This meaningful event was made possible through the tireless efforts of Ms. Arlene Martin, also a member of GISEC and representing Share Love Charities, Inc., who coordinated closely with Mr. Armando Dayrit, Head of the Urban Tree Planting Nursery under the Iloilo LGU. Their collaboration ensured not only the logistical success of the activity but also its symbolic depth—planting hope, legacy, and life into the soils of Iloilo City.

The event drew Aspirants, and members, along with Eagles from other provinces, all united by a shared mission: to nurture the environment and inspire generational responsibility. Their presence underscored the Eagles’ enduring commitment to service, leadership, and community transformation.

Supporting the effort were the dedicated staff of the Urban Tree Planting Nursery, who provided technical guidance and ensured the healthy transplantation of saplings. The bridge site, chosen for its strategic location near the floodway, symbolizes resilience and renewal—an apt metaphor for the trees now standing sentinel over the waterway.

Each tree planted was more than a seedling—it was a statement. A declaration that environmental action is not just about today, but about safeguarding tomorrow. The tree planting activity resonated deeply. Participants shared personal reflections on the importance of ecological responsibility and intergenerational impact. As the saplings took root, so too did a renewed sense of purpose among attendees. The Global Iloilo Summit Eagles Club, together with its partners, has planted more than trees—they’ve planted a legacy.

Every Tree Planted Is a Victory to the Environment: A Morning of Green Advocacy in Iloilo

In the soft glow of the early morning sun, the grounds in front of Injap Tower in Mandurriao, Iloilo City, transformed into a living testament to environmental stewardship as volunteers, physicians, civic leaders, and advocates gathered on August 30, 2025, 6:00–8:00 AM, for a tree planting activity themed “Every Tree Planted Is a Victory to the Environment.”

The event was spearheaded by the Philippine College of Chest Physicians, whose commitment to respiratory health found a natural ally in ecological preservation. In collaboration with Share Love Charities, Inc., the Rotary Club–Iloilo South, Dr. Rollin Tabuena of Asclepius, and the Philippine Society of General Surgeons, Panay Chapter, the initiative brought together a diverse coalition of professionals and community members united by a shared mission: to green Iloilo City, one tree at a time.

Over the course of nearly two hours, dozens of saplings were planted along the bike lane going to the intersection of Gaisano City Center, symbolizing not just environmental renewal but also the power of collective action. The activity was more than ceremonial—it was a strategic step toward improving air quality, enhancing biodiversity, and fostering civic pride.

Special recognition was given to Ms. Arlene Martin of Share Love Charities, whose tireless coordination ensured the event’s success. Through her efforts and the logistical support of Mr. Armando Dayrit from the Urban Tree Planting Nursery of the Iloilo LGU, the initiative was seamlessly executed, with native tree species selected for their resilience and ecological value.

The symbolic act of placing roots of bani tree, also known as balut balut or Mileta Pinnata into the soil resonated deeply, especially among medical professionals who understand the intrinsic link between environmental health and human well-being.

As the final saplings were tucked into the earth and the morning drew to a close, the message was clear: every tree planted is a victory not just for the environment, but for future generations.

Share Love Charities Leads Transformative Medical Mission in Barangay Ma Cristina

In the golden light of a hopeful morning on August 22, 2025,, Barangay Ma Cristina awakened to a rare kind of grace—a day woven with healing, generosity, and the quiet power of love in action. At the heart of this transformative medical mission stood Share Love Charities Inc., a beacon of compassion whose unwavering commitment to community upliftment turned a simple outreach into a symphony of service.

With the clock striking 8:00 AM, the IBC Gym besides the Baptist Church blossomed into a sanctuary of care. Under the gentle guidance of Share Love Charities, and in partnership with the Philippine Guardians Brotherhood, Inc., the Global Iloilo Summit-Eagles Club (GISEC), Barangay Officials, and other devoted stakeholders, the mission unfolded like a tapestry of kindness—each thread representing a life touched, a burden eased, a smile restored.

Residents were welcomed with warmth and dignity as they received eye check-ups, x-ray diagnostics, and bone health assessments, all administered with precision and empathy. But the care extended beyond clinical boundaries. Skilled hands offered free haircuts, transforming weary faces into radiant expressions of confidence, while therapeutic massages soothed tired bodies and lifted spirits.

And then came the moment of joy—a raffle draw that sent waves of excitement through the crowd. Lucky winners embraced their prizes: five kilos of rice, grocery packs, and the priceless feeling of being remembered. These gifts, though humble, carried the weight of love and solidarity.

GISEC, ever the steadfast ally, ensured that free medicines were distributed to those in need, bridging the gap between diagnosis and healing. Their efforts were seamlessly supported by Share Love Charities’ volunteers, whose tireless dedication turned logistics into poetry—every movement choreographed with care, every gesture infused with purpose. Special attention was given to the elderly, persons with disabilities, and families facing hardship—ensuring that no one was left unseen or unheard.

At the end of the day, the August 22 medical mission, led by Share Love Charities Inc., will be remembered not merely as an event, but as a living testament to what happens when love is not just spoken—but shared.
