"The Right to Care Ordinance is not merely a policy, it is a declaration that compassion must never be limited by technicalities, labels, or circumstances.
When life hangs in the balance, love should never be stopped by a technicality, and care should never be denied by a label.
This ordinance does not redefine family.
It reaffirms humanity.
It recognizes that in our most vulnerable moments, the person we trust most should have the right to stand by our side. If Iligan believes that every life has equal worth, then every person deserves the right to be cared for by the one they trust most.
And this, I support the passage of the Right to Care Ordinance."
