From a foreign language requirement… to a heartfelt tribute. 💙

“Watashi no Guiuan” is an original song written by JPE Padit, expressing deep love and pride for our hometown—Guiuan.

Translated into Waray-Waray as “Akon Guiuan,” this music video is more than just a school project—it's a celebration of culture, identity, and the beauty of where we come from.

Through melody and visuals, we hope to remind everyone that no matter where life takes us, our love for Guiuan will always remain. 🌊✨

Every great story begins with a single click. 📸✨

The ESSU Guiuan Supreme Student Council, in partnership with the ESSU Guiuan Filmmakers' Guild, proudly brought together passionate storytellers and visual artists for “Click and Create: Exploring the Art of Photography.”

With the inspiring guidance of our resource speaker Marvin Marquez, better known as Kodak ni Sankay, participants discovered that photography is more than just capturing images—it’s about capturing emotion, truth, and the stories that shape our world.

Together with the ESSU Student Media Organization and Campus Quill, this event became a celebration of creativity, perspective, and the power of visual storytelling. From every frame to every flash, we were reminded that a camera is not just a tool—it’s a voice.

Keep creating. Keep exploring. And never stop telling stories through your lens. 📷

As another storm tests our strength, we look back on the story that defined resilience — “HOPE: Guiuan After Yolanda.” This documentary is a powerful reminder that from the wreckage, we rebuilt not just our homes, but our spirits. 💔➡️❤️

This November 8 marks the 12th anniversary of Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) — a day that changed lives forever. Let us remember, reflect, and take to heart the lessons of preparedness, unity, and compassion.

Even as new storms come our way, may we never lose what Yolanda taught us: that hope is stronger than any typhoon. 🌧️✨

🎬 First team building = a wrap!

The ESSU-Guiuan Filmmakers Guild just had our very first official team building activity — and wow, what a day! From fun (and sometimes chaotic 😅) games to moments that really tested our teamwork, we walked away not just tired, but way more connected.

Today reminded us that behind every great film is a crew that knows how to trust, laugh, and work together — on and off set. This is just the beginning, and we're excited for everything we'll create together. 💪🎥
