Madamo gid nga salamat sa Taklad Banaag for dropping by the library today!

Taklad Banaag is an Iloilo-based, local mountaineering and hiking organization whose mission is to introduce the joy of mountaineering while contributing meaningfully to the community, environment, and society as a whole. Project Palabasa was chosen as their beneficiary for their Hike for a Cause event held last August 2026.

We are very grateful to the hikers and organizers, especially to Mr. Joseph Segovia, for turning over both monetary and in-kind donations to us.

A huge thank you to Mr. Genovata and Mr. Bautista for the additional monetary donation and to Mr. & Ms. Fantillo, Ms. Maravilla, Ms. Gagarin, and Mr. Asaria for the materials, books, and school supplies

These will be used and will be of great help to our Saturday Reading Support Classes.

We are truly grateful from the bottom of our hearts!

If you wish to donate, please feel free to visit our donation guide here https://bit.ly/ProjectPalabasa_DonationGuide or send us a message.

Our first Seeds of Reading sprout at Barangay Nanga today! 🌱

Project Palabasa successfully launched the first leg of our Reading Corner turnovers at Barangay Nanga today, August 23, 2026.

Our resident storyteller, Eula Pauline Noquilla, read "Sirena Ba 'Yan?" by Candy Gourlay and Franchesca Chessa during the program, a story about siblings Benji and Bel discovering a "sirena" while strolling near the seaside. Listeners were also divided into groups to complete an activity and answer questions related to the story afterwards.

The storytelling session was then followed by a brief training led by our co-founder, Juliana Rose Pagador, on how to organize, utilize and manage the Reading Corners for the assigned caretakers.

The turnover session was attended by selected students and teachers from Nanga Integrated School, the Nanga Barangay Council, and the Sangguniang Kabataan officers of Barangay Nanga.

We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors who made this possible. Thank you very much to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Philippines) and their Caring Cup initiative for generously sending bags for the kids who participated. We would also like to thank the Adarna Group Foundation, Inc. () for providing books that will fill our Reading Corner shelves. Our deepest gratitude as well to the UNESCO x SEVENTEEN Going Together Youth Grant Scheme for making it possible to acquire shelves, mats and other supplies for the Reading Corner.

We hope that through our Reading Corners, this can help sprout a love for reading and learning for readers from all walks of life.
