Our BetterGov.PH volunteer, 𝘇𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶, just launched 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗞𝗼.𝗰𝗼𝗺. It is a free civic education platform that breaks down over 21,000 Philippine laws into plain language (pinasimple), making the law truly accessible to the average citizen.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗞𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰:
✔ Simple explanations of the Constitution, 4 major legal codes, and 176 Republic Acts.
✔ Bilingual translations in English and Filipino, complete with real life scenarios.
✔ A visualizer for the 6.793 trillion peso national budget broken down per citizen.
✔ A live population counter and deep demographic data.

This is what civic technology looks like when it bridges the gap between the government and the governed.

At BetterGov.ph, we support the young innovators solving our nation's deepest problems. A team of 𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗜𝗜𝗧 students recently built 𝐞𝐒𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐁𝐚, a platform using blockchain to show 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 in real time.

The idea is simple but powerful. Every peso spent or received is permanently recorded online. The financial data cannot be changed, hidden, or deleted.

Asking for total honesty takes courage. After facing rejections from several local governments, the team found a true partner in Barangay Villa Verde. They welcomed the project with open doors, proving they have absolutely nothing to hide.

These students proved that a completely transparent government is not just a dream. It is possible right now. We stand with the next generation brave enough to make it happen.

PARAÑAQUE CITY, 23 April 2026 – To ensure an orderly and efficient flow of applicants and in observance of health and safety standards and the regulations of the ASEANA Business Park Estate Association, the Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) requests consular applicants at DFA-OCA Aseana to come at least 15 to 30 minutes prior to the time of their appointment .

The space available as a waiting area and the seats inside the DFA-OCA Aseana premises are limited.
