The Chapter celebrated its 1st Year Chartering Anniversary on January 23, 2026, with the theme “Ascend,” symbolizing the continued growth and progress of the United Architects of the Philippines – General Santos Chapter.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Past D1b District Director Ar. Marlo J. Basco, FUAP; Past Chancellor of the College of Fellows Ar. Michael T. Ang, FUAP; and D1b District Director Ar. Raquel Pajarillo. Father Angel Buenavides served as the guest speaker and delivered an inspiring message encouraging unity and excellence among the members.

The celebration also featured the Induction Ceremony of nine (9) new members, highlighting the Chapter’s growth and commitment to strengthening fellowship and professional excellence.

𝘽𝘼𝙈𝘽𝙊𝙊 𝙂𝙍𝙊𝙒𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙅𝙀𝘾𝙏 𝙇𝘼𝙐𝙉𝘾𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙂 & 𝘿𝙀𝘾𝙀𝙈𝘽𝙀𝙍 𝙂𝙈𝙈

In celebration of PAFNAM 2025, the UAP General Santos Chapter launched its Bamboo Growing Project. The activity was graced by Secretary General Ar. Rex S. Chua Tak, National Auditor Ar. Ramon Francisco M. Teruel, and District D1B Director Ar. Racquel Pajarillo.

Following the launch, the Chapter held its 4th General Membership Meeting (GMM), where members further discussed the Bamboo Growing Project, as well as preparations for the upcoming 1st Chapter Anniversary Celebration and Induction Ceremony.

UAP General Santos Chapter Courtesy Visit to UST General Santos In Celebration of World Architecture Day 2025

In line with the celebration of World Architecture Day 2025, the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) General Santos Chapter, together with representatives from the UAP Graduate Auxiliary (UAPGA), conducted a courtesy visit to the University of Santo Tomas – General Santos City on October 6, 2025. The delegation was headed by Chapter President Arch. Freddie Reye F. Doctor.

The group was cordially received by Rev. Fr. Edmund C. Nantes, O.P., Associate Vice-Rector for Administration and Finance, and Dr. Gina A. De Guzman, Director of the School of Engineering, Information, and Technology (SEIT).

A guided campus tour was subsequently held, facilitated by Dr. Victor T. Reyes, Director of the Communications Bureau. The tour highlighted the university’s sustainable and Thomistic-inspired campus design, reflecting the institution’s commitment to environmental stewardship and holistic education.

As a token of appreciation, the UAP General Santos Chapter presented a Certificate of Appreciation to UST General Santos, which was received by Prof. Edilberto P. Manahan, PhD, Associate Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

This engagement underscores UST General Santos’ openness to professional and academic collaborations that advance responsible, value-oriented, and culturally rooted architectural practice in Mindanao.

UAP District D1B Joint Induction and Turnover Ceremony

The officers of the UAP General Santos Chapter had the honor of attending the UAP District D1B Joint Induction and Turnover Ceremony, held on August 31, 2025, at the Grand Summit Hotel, General Santos City. They were joined by fellow officers from the Socsksargen, Koronadal, and Cotabato Chapters. The event was graced by the presence of UAP National President, Ar. Jonathan V. Manalad, and was led by the outgoing and incoming officers of District D1B.

The formation of the UAP General Santos Chapter reflects the growing community of architects in the SOCSKSARGEN region and their commitment to professional development, ethical practice, and community service. As a new chapter, UAP General Santos aims to promote collaboration, continuous education, and active engagement with local stakeholders in the built environment.
