𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗪𝗜 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽

The Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. (PASWI) – General Santos City Chapter successfully conducted a free Orientation-Workshop on Psychological First Aid (PFA) for Social Workers on July 25, 2026, at the CSWDO Gensan Conference Room.

Facilitated by Dr. Sindypearl Melencio, President of PASWI–General Santos City Chapter, the workshop equipped participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in providing immediate psychosocial support to individuals and communities affected by crises, emergencies, and disasters.

Offered free of charge as part of PASWI's commitment to continuing professional development, the activity aimed to strengthen the competence of social workers and promote quality, responsive, and compassionate social work practice.

As a token of appreciation for their participation, all attendees also received food packs at the conclusion of the workshop. (𝙈𝙅𝘼𝙊)

𝗠𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻, 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮 𝗔𝗸𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻: 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗪𝗜 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗠𝗶𝗱-𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁

Sa loob ng unang anim na buwan ng 2026, muling pinatunayan ng Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. (PASWI) – General Santos City Chapter ang matatag nitong dedikasyon sa pagsusulong ng propesyon ng Social Work at sa patuloy na paglilingkod sa komunidad. Mula sa pagpapalakas ng organisasyon, pagtataguyod ng mga adbokasiya, hanggang sa pagbibigay ng direktang serbisyo sa mga nangangailangan, naging makabuluhan at produktibo ang bawat hakbang ng samahan.

Kabilang sa mga mahahalagang tagumpay ng PASWI Gensan ngayong unang kalahati ng taon ang matagumpay na pagsasagawa ng 10th General Assembly at Halalan ng mga Opisyal, pagpapalakas ng pamamahala ng organisasyon, pagdiriwang ng World Social Work Day 2026, pakikipagtuwang sa iba't ibang institusyon, pagsasagawa ng community outreach at home visitation, pagbibigay ng psychosocial support sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng kalamidad, at patuloy na pagtataguyod ng social justice, mental health, at kapakanan ng mga mahihinang sektor ng lipunan.

Ang mga tagumpay na ito ay bunga ng sama-samang pagsisikap ng aming mga opisyal, miyembro, boluntaryo, katuwang na ahensya, akademya, at iba pang stakeholders na patuloy na naniniwala sa mahalagang papel ng mga social worker sa pagbuo ng mas makatao, inklusibo, at matatag na komunidad.
Habang tinatahak namin ang ikalawang kalahati ng 2026, nananatiling matibay ang aming paninindigan na ipagpatuloy ang de-kalidad, makatao, at propesyonal na serbisyo publiko. Patuloy naming isusulong ang mga programang nagbibigay ng pag-asa, nagtataguyod ng dignidad ng bawat tao, at nagpapalakas sa ating mga komunidad.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng aming mga tagumpay. Sama-sama nating ipagpatuloy ang misyong maglingkod nang may puso, integridad, at malasakit.

Isang mainit na pagbati mula sa Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. Inaasahan nating magiging mahalagang katuwang sila sa paghubog ng mga programa, pagpapatibay ng samahan, at pagpapalawak ng serbisyong nakatuon sa kapakanan ng ating mga komunidad.

Muli, malugod namin kayong tinatanggap sa pamunuan ng PASWI Gensan. Nawa'y magsilbi itong panibagong inspirasyon upang higit pang mapalawak ang ating sama-samang adhikain para sa propesyon at sa mga taong ating pinaglilingkuran. (𝙈𝙅𝘼𝙊)

PSS & CISD activities alongside the dedicated members of PASWI GenSan City Chapter, RMMC-GenSan Social Work students, and 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐥-Koronadal JSWAP volunteers.

Muli, taos-puso kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng nagpaabot ng kanilang tulong at donasyon. Dahil sa inyong kabutihang-loob, nakapag-iwan tayo ng kaunting pantawid-gutom at pangunahing pangangailangan para sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan habang sila ay unti-unting bumabangon at naghahanap ng paraan upang muling makapaghanapbuhay.
