On April 26, 2026, a quiet but significant moment unfolded as YOLO carried out its onboarding sessionโan event that did not simply gather individuals but brought together purpose, ambition, and the courage to begin.
Nine (9) participants filled the space with intention, composed of the organizationโs Board of Directors and a new set of aspiring members ready to take their first step into something greater than themselves.
Leading the session were the pillars of the organization: ๐๐จ๐ก๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐๐ข๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐จ, ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐ก๐๐ง๐ , ๐๐๐๐ข ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ฅ, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ก๐ข ๐๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐จ. More than leaders, they stood as mentors and vision-bearers, individuals who have chosen to shape spaces where the youth are not just seen but empowered to act, lead, and create change.
Alongside them were four (4) prospective members bound for interview: ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ค ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐จ, ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐จ, ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ข๐ฃ๐จ๐ง, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ณ๐จ ๐๐ฒ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐. Each name carries a story yet to unfold, a potential waiting to be discovered, and a voice ready to be heard. Their presence marked not just attendance but also the willingness to step forward to be part of a movement that demands growth, responsibility, and purpose.
The onboarding was more than an orientation. It was a moment of alignment, a space where values were shared, expectations were made clear, and connections began to form. Conversations sparked awareness. Silence carried reflection. And within that shared space, something deeper was built: a sense of belonging.
Because YOLO is not merely an organization. It is a commitment to the youth, to leadership, and to the belief that change begins when individuals choose to show up, even before they feel ready.
As these prospective members move forward into the next stage of their journey, one thing remains certain: this is only the beginning. What was once a simple gathering now stands as a starting point of transformation. One that holds the promise of impact not just within the organization but also in the communities they will soon serve.
In YOLO, every beginning matters. And on April 26, nine individuals chose to begin.
