Villalobos, who has successfully completed their Master in Public Affairs with Concentration in Strategic Planning and Public Policy with Distinction from the University of the Philippines - Cebu.

This achievement stands as a testament to the values we uphold as we commit ourselves to a lifelong journey of growth, dedication, and service to the community. May this achievement inspire us to strive for greater heights in our own paths.

In her welcome message, Organizational Development-Human Resource Management (OD-HRM) Director Dr. Lourdes Angela F. Piรฑero described the occasion as a time to recognize the passion, dedication, and faithful service of the University's personnel.

She said that behind every milestone achieved by the University were individuals whose dedication and hard work often went beyond what was required.

Piรฑero noted that the 27 awardees embodied the values of character, competence, and faith that define the Silliman community, adding that their years of service reflected lives touched, relationships built, lessons shared, and countless acts of service rendered to students, colleagues, and stakeholders.

She also emphasized that each year of service represented perseverance and a continuing commitment to the University's vision of becoming a Christian institution leading in total human development for the well-being of society and the environment.

Speaking on behalf of the faculty awardees, College of Nursing Dean Asst. Prof. Theorose June Q. Bustillo reflected on the loyalty she shared with her fellow honorees, particularly the four awardees from the College of Nursing.

โ€œOver the years, the world outside has offered many lucrative opportunities. In our field, the temptation of better-paying jobs, especially abroad, is always present. There were many chances for us to look elsewhere, but the unique โ€˜Silliman spiritโ€™ within us held us fast. This is particularly true for the four of us from the College of Nursing who are receiving this award today,โ€ Bustillo explained.

Representing the staff awardees, College of Engineering and Design Secretary Anie D. Escarilla expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing the 20-year milestone as a journey marked by learning, challenges, growth, and unwavering commitment.

Escarilla recalled that many of the awardees began their careers at Silliman at a young age.

โ€œLooking back, many of us entered this institution young. And through the years, we learned many thingsโ€”not only the technical skills needed in our jobs, but also patience, understanding, teamwork, discipline, and commitment,โ€ Escarilla said.

She added that SU had become more than a workplace for many of the awardees. It had become a second home where they found purpose, belonging, meaningful friendships, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The recognition ceremony served as an expression of gratitude and admiration for the loyal and dedicated personnel whose contributions continued to strengthen the University community.

This year marks the return of a new batch of scholars who have successfully concluded their journey with excellence and honor as recipients of the Rolando Villanueva Del Carmen Academic Excellence Scholarship.

We honor the gift from Dr. Rolando Villanueva Del Carmen and his family as we celebrate the achievements these scholars have made.

We also celebrate the stories behind every success: the quiet sacrifices, the late nights, the unwavering determination, and the hearts that carried each of them through the years.
As they step beyond the walls that once became their second home, may they carry with them not only the honor of academic excellence, but also the values, friendships, and memories formed along the way. Their journey stands as a reminder that excellence is not only measured by achievements but also by the character they have shown throughout the years.
To Ryan, whose tenacity and strong-willed spirit became a steady source of strength and perseverance, may your courage continue to lead you toward greater heights.

To Cliantha, whose wit and grace effortlessly brightened the spaces around her, may you continue to inspire others with both your brilliance and kindness.

To Ederly, whose caring heart and dedication to her studies reflected both compassion and discipline, may your sincerity continue to touch the lives of many wherever you go.

And to Suzanne, whose down-to-earth nature and quiet intellect spoke volumes, may your wisdom and humility remain your guiding light as you enter a new chapter.

As they step beyond the walls that once became their second home, may they carry with them not only the honor of academic excellence, but also the values, friendships, and memories formed along the way. Their journey stands as a reminder that excellence is not only measured by achievements, but also by the character they have shown throughout the years.

Congratulations, Batch 2026! RVDC family celebrates with pride and gratitude for the lives you have shared with us.๐Ÿคโค๏ธ
