Japan Peace Day Celebration

"Celebrating peace… together for tomorrow"

We warmly invite you to a heartfelt commemoration of Japan Peace Day at the RVDC Honor Hall — a day dedicated to remembering the past, fostering peace, and celebrating the enduring friendship between Japan and the Philippines.

This is an event exclusive to Japanese Students and People of Dumaguete city.

This special event is a collaborative effort between Japanese exchange students of the Nagoya Gakuin University - Department of Rehabilitative Sciences, the Dumaguete City Japanese Community, and the RVDC Scholars, the Silliman University HISAW, the Filipino community of Dumaguete City.

Together, we reflect on shared histories, promote mutual understanding, and renew our commitment to a peaceful and united future.

Today marks a momentous milestone in the lives of the Rolando Villanueva Del Carmen Scholars as the family of the Dr. Jocelyn Del Carmen-Tanabe visits the scholars.

Alumni, students, and those whose hearts were touched by the late Dr. Rolando Villanueva Del Carmen, come together to honor and celebrate the legacy at which we carry up to today.

We strive to bring forth and nurture the values of Service and Excellence that has been instilled in us as we grow further along our journey.

His excellence continues to live on through the countless lives he touched and the lasting contributions he made at Silliman University and far beyond.
