A new chapter of leadership and collaboration begins for the Council of Academic Heads for Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAHFTHE)!

The Oath-Taking Ceremony of the CAHFTHE Officers for 2026–2027 was made more meaningful through a strategic conversation with Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, CESO III, the Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XI, and Dr. Leomar Jay Oblianda, CHEDRO XI Education Supervisor and CAHFTHE Board Adviser.

More than a ceremonial beginning, the gathering reaffirmed our shared commitment to stronger academic collaboration, innovative initiatives, and the continued advancement of Tourism and Hospitality Education in the region.

A meaningful beginning to a shared journey of leadership, collaboration, and excellence. 🀝

The Council of Academic Heads For Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAHFTHE) successfully convened its First Board Officers' Meeting at T.H.E. I.M.S. building, marking the beginning of a shared commitment to advancing quality, innovation, and collaboration in culinary, tourism, and hospitality education.

Bringing together academic leaders from various institutions, the meeting served as a platform to establish the Council's strategic direction, strengthen partnerships, and discuss initiatives that will further enhance academic excellence, industry relevance, and institutional collaboration. This has become even more meaningful as it was graced by the Board Advisers, Dr. Gypsy Mae Casurao and Dr. Leomar Jay R. Oblianda, the Education Supervisor II of CHEDRO-XI.

As we embark on this journey, CAHFTHE remains steadfast in its mission to empower educators, inspire future professionals, and contribute to the continuous growth of the tourism and hospitality sector through transformative education.
