BACKGROUND

Mindanao Women Advocacy on Good Governance (MWAGG) is an association composed of women, professional or undergraduate, English or Arabic/Islamic education alike, for so long as they can express their ideas which if held together would form a common action through advocacy, geared towards enhancing a governance which would address the issues and concerns of women in relation to peace,

justice and sustained socio-economic development. This association is duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Davao City with Registration No. CN201233010, issued on October 22, 2012. The principal office address of the Association is at RH3, Ilang-Ilang Street, Nayon Shariff Kabunsuan, Cotabato City. Its area of operation is Mindanao wide. VISION/MISSION/GOALS

MISSION

We are committed to harness the moral and political awareness among Mindanao women to develop their capabilities in order to improve their quality of life. GOALS

1.Promote Islamic conscious-ness among women
2.Enhance political participation
3.Promote socio-economic well-being of Bangsamoro women
4.Developing capacity of delivery of services among members. III. PURPOSES OF THE ASSOCIATION

1.To advocate good governance on humanitarian and environmental concerns for the reduction of the following:
a.Poverty
b.Human rights violation
c.Graft and corruption
d.Environmental degradation leading to climate change
e.Family feud
f.Cultural discrimination and media biases
g.Gender biases

2.To implement programs and projects in order to promote the general welfare of its members and the 13 ethno-tribes of Bangsamoro women.
