The Iranun, one of the oldest tribes in the Philippines, trace their roots to the Iranun/Illanun Bay—now known as the Moro Gulf—and are proud descendants of Sultan Dipatuan Kudarat. Historically misunderstood and labeled as pirates by the Spaniards, they are true heroes and fierce defenders of Mindanao’s heritage.
