Check out the highlights from days three and four of the Sustainable Development Business Network – Philippines! 🌍✨

As we continue celebrating and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we remain committed to empowering businesses to embrace the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Together, we aim to build a greener and more inclusive future by promoting sustainable practices, fostering innovation, and adopting circular economy models.

We’re thrilled to welcome our latest partners—Lowla Garden Bistro, Little Italy Pizzeria, JH Garden Cafe & Restaurant, and Dirty Sanchez—to the DavaoGreenConnect campaign. Through this initiative, we’re creating a network of businesses, youth, and community stakeholders dedicated to championing reuse models and sustainable practices.

With Davao as our pilot city, we’re driving impactful activities such as SDG compliance assessments, capacity-building workshops, and dynamic social media campaigns. These efforts not only support environmental stewardship but also strengthen local actions in alignment with global SDG goals, with plans to expand to other cities in the future.

Let’s keep inspiring collective action and working toward a future for all! 🌱

Highlights from the first phase of the Sustainable Development Business Network – Philippines! ✨

In celebration of and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor his advocacy for justice and equality by emphasizing the importance of businesses embodying the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to achieve a better and more sustainable future by 2030. These goals, grounded in a commitment to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all, inspire our collective action through the lens of DavaoGreenConnect.

Through the DavaoGreenConnect campaign, we are building a network of businesses, youth, and community stakeholders, united to promote reuse models, adopt circular economy practices, and foster sustainable practices. The first three businesses leading the charge in this initiative are Ellen's Tuna Queen, Kiel’s Coffee, and Kape ug Kaagi: Art & Start-up Hub. DavaoGreenConnect aspires to shift the narrative from focusing on environmental challenges to showcasing actionable solutions, creating a greener and more sustainable Davao for current and future generations. As our pilot city, Davao will serve as the foundation for scaling this initiative to other cities across the country.

By driving a year-long initiative that includes SDG and environmental law compliance assessments, capacity-building workshops, and innovative social media campaigns, this program fosters environmental stewardship, helps businesses thrive, and strengthens local efforts toward achieving the global SDGs.

Let’s and create a sustainable future!
