LOST & FOUND: WALLET SUCCESSFULLY RETURNED!

Honesty and integrity truly shine bright here at Barangay Ilang!

We are happy to share that a light green wallet — which was found earlier with 1,300 pesos — has been officially turned over to its rightful owner, Queen Sy Asnawi grade nine student of F Bustamante of Barangay Tibungco!

The turnover was made by our very own Ms. Golda Babao, Barangay Record Keeper, who ensured the item was kept safe and properly handed over to the owner.

To Ms. Queen: we are glad your belongings are back with you!

This is a wonderful example of the honesty and good character that our people uphold. Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word, and special appreciation to Golda for taking good care of it until it was returned!

Let’s keep this spirit of honesty and kindness alive in our community!

Kini nga wallet adunay sulod nga kwarta ug maoy nakit-an ug gi-uli sa usa ka matinud-anong bao-bao driver nga si Ryan Gabod, lumulupyo sa Panabo. Iya kining gitugyan ngadto kang PB Mading Babao para sa luwas nga pagtipig.

Unsaon pag-claim:
Kung kamo na wad an ug tag-iya niining wallet, palihug pakig-coordinate kang PB Mading Babao sa Brgy. Hall . Alang sa pag-claim, palihug pagdala og valid ID ug pangandami ang pag-verify sa saktong kantidad sa kwarta o uban pang detalye sa sulod niini.

Dako kaayong salamat kang Kuya Ryan Gabod sa imong pagkamatinud-anon! Saludo kami sa imo! 🫡💚

OFFICIAL VISIT & CONCERNED DISCUSSIONS

Barangay Ilang warmly received a courtesy visit from Mr. Ednar Dayanghirang, Regional Director of the Office of Civil Defense, at the office of Punong Barangay Amado Babao today.

The meeting centered on the difficult situation facing over 174 displaced workers of Mighty Steel Corporation, — many now facing uncertain livelihoods and sudden loss of income.

Director Dayanghirang and Punong Barangay Amado Babao discussed the urgent need for coordinated government support. Also discussed is a possible forms of assistance, livelihood opportunities, and social services to help ease the hardship faced by the displaced employees and their families.

Operation Linis: Keeping Central Ilang Clean & Proud!

Led by our dedicated Golda Babao, our hardworking Barangay Utility Workers and staff successfully carried out Operation Linis across Purok 2-A and Purok 2-B, Central Ilang! 🧹

This marks the second time our team has returned to serve these areas—proof of our unwavering commitment to maintain a truly safe, orderly, and litter-free community for everyone. Our goal is clear: to make Central Ilang a model of cleanliness and pride for all residents! 💚

We extend our sincere gratitude to our ever-supportive Punong Barangay Mading Babao and the Barangay Council for their constant backing of our sanitation and community improvement efforts! 🙏

A big salute to our tireless team for their consistent effort and heart! Let’s all do our part—dispose of waste properly, keep our surroundings tidy, and work together to sustain a cleaner, healthier Central Ilang!

🎶 A SECOND WAVE OF MUSIC & GRATITUDE FOR SIXTO BABAO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! 🎺

We are absolutely delighted to share this meaningful turnover event: Holcim Davao Plant has once again stepped forward with generosity, donating a second set of musical instruments to our school!

The donation was officially handed over by Ms. May Escalicas, CSR Manager of Holcim Davao, and gratefully received by Mr. Arvie dela Torre, Principal of Sixto Babao Elementary School.

Joining to celebrate this wonderful milestone were Punong Barangay Mading Babao, Kagawad Tampos, and the school’s dedicated teachers—all proud to support our students’ talents and growth.

This second generous contribution reinforces Holcim Davao’s lasting commitment to our youth, giving more young learners the chance to explore their creativity, build confidence, and shine through music. We deeply value this continued partnership! 💙
