Some builds start with a plan but Day 2 was all about putting the final pieces together. Engr. Dale Iverson Lacastre helped us stack the right strategies, mindset, and discipline to outsmart the Civil Engineering Licensure Examination, proving that passing the boards isn’t about luck it’s about building smart from the ground up. 📐💡

As the last bricks clicked into place, Engr. Luis Miguel Morales reminded us that the build doesn’t stop at the title. Life after graduation is where the real construction begins filled with challenges, growth, and purpose beyond what we see on the surface. 🚧

📸 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭 | Building Strong Foundations, One Brick at a Time 🧱

The ∑mposium held last April 21, 2026 at the CEAT Exhibit Hall didn’t just bring together future engineers, it built a moment worth keeping. Like assembling the perfect LEGO masterpiece, the symposium began with Engr. Erickneil Dejucos Realuyo laying down the essential building blocks of civil engineering, strengthening our foundations while giving us a glimpse of the world beyond graduation. Every concept became a brick, reminding us that great structures start with solid basics.

The momentum continued as Engr. Victor Joseph Villafuerte snapped precision into place, turning simple tools into powerful pieces of mastery through calculator tips and tricks, featuring the Canon F-789SGA II Version 2. With each function and shortcut, students gained the pieces needed to build faster, smarter, and more efficient solutions.

On April 27, 2026, the CEEPC–PICE, together with the fourth year Civil Engineering students, successfully organized CENAG 2026 for the third year students guiding them through the signs, turns, and choices ahead in their journey. 🛣️

What started as an event became a meaningful step toward their future, guiding them as they choose their specialization and path in the field. Through the insights and experiences shared by our speakers, they gained clarity, inspiration, and confidence in the choices they’re about to make.

Dr. Mario P. De Leon, an Associate Professor with over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic service, complemented by industry experience in the construction sector. Throughout his career, Dr. De Leon has been actively involved in both local and international research collaborations, contributing to projects funded by institutions such as DOST, JST, UKRI, ERASMUS, and the British Council. He also took part in international joint research and field surveys on storm surge following Typhoon Haiyan, working alongside experts from Japan and Vietnam.

His research interests include wave transformation modeling, coastal protection, shoreline assessment, and water and wastewater management. As a scholar and mentor, he has guided numerous students in their research and has published works in reputable journals and conferences worldwide.

In CENAG 2026, his talk on 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 will help third-year Civil Engineering students better understand the field, providing insights that will guide them in choosing their specialization.

Engr. George Christian L. Cabatay, a licensed Civil Engineer and PMI-SP certified Scheduling Professional. He is actively involved in high-impact infrastructure projects such as the Metro Rail Transit Line 4 in the Philippines, the Dublin Area Rapid Transit Project in Ireland, and the Rail Baltica Project in Europe. His expertise lies in construction planning, project scheduling, and progress monitoring using industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

Beyond his professional work, Engr. Cabatay has demonstrated strong leadership, having served as President of the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology Student Council and as the first Chief Justice of the University Student Government during his time at De La Salle University – Dasmariñas.

In CENAG 2026, his talk on 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 will provide third-year Civil Engineering students with valuable insights into the field, helping guide them in choosing their specialization through real-world applications and global project experience.
