May kakilala ka ba na nangangailangan ng SPEECH THERAPY?

Ang Department of Speech-Language Pathology ng College of Rehabilitation Sciences ng DLSMHSI ay naghahanap ng mga pasyente na gustong makatanggap ng LIBRENG speech and language evaluation at therapy. Ito ay bukas para sa lahat ng kondisyon at edad na nangangailangan ng tulong sa pagsasalita, pag-intindi, pandinig o paglunok.

Ang speech services na matatanggap ay maaaring face-to-face o online/teletherapy. Ang sessions ay gagawin ng mga student clinicians sa ilalim ng gabay at pagtuturo ng mga lisensyadong Speech-Language Pathologists mula sa aming departamento.

Ang Cerebral Palsy (CP) ay isang neurolohikal na kondisyon na madalas makita sa mga bata na na nakakaapekto sa paggalaw ng ibaโ€™t-ibang parte ng katawan.

Nagdudulot ito ng kahirapan sa pagsalita nang malinaw, habang ang iba naman ay hindi nakakapagsalita. Ngunit, eto ang dapat tandaan: ang paghihirap sa pagsasalita ay hindi nangangahulugang wala kang sasabihin. ๐Ÿ’™

Marami sa mga may CP ang nakikipag-usap sa pamamagitan ng AAC devices, sign language, mga kilos, o kahit sa pamamagitan ng titig (eye gaze) โ€” at sa tulong ng pasensya, oras, at tamang mga kagamitan, bawat boses ay maririnig.

Ang komunikasyon ay karapatang pantao, hindi pribilehiyo.

Ngayong Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, matuto tayong makinig sa โ€” anumang paraan ipahayag ang isang boses. Dahil bawat tao ay nararapat na marinig at maunawaan. ๐Ÿ’™
