The GAHUM seminar was held last March 21, 2026, at the BUCGAD Conference Hall. The event did not only empower women by providing knowledge about RA 11313, also known as the Safe Spaces Act, but also created a space for self-reflection. One segment of the program allowed participants to reflect on their fears and who they want to becomeโa moment of deeper self-awareness.
The first speaker, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ง ๐. ๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐, delivered a compelling discussion by sharing her experiences as a policewoman handling cases involving gender-based violence. During her talk, she presented various real-life situations and stories of women who had experienced abuse. She also gave practical tips and reminders to students, emphasizing the importance of being vigilant and cautious when disclosing personal information to the public.
On the other hand, the second speaker, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐. ๐๐ฏ๐๐ฌ๐๐จ, ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐, created a moment of truth and vulnerability. In her talk, she encouraged participants to be honest about their feelings, acknowledge their fears, and define the boundaries they wish to establish in their relationships and interactions with others.
Overall, the event truly demonstrated why Womenโs Month should always be commemoratedโ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐
