🚦 SALAMAT PO KUYA: A Nationwide Drive for Hope 🇵🇭

"From Luzon to Mindanao, behind every diploma is a Kuya driver who got us there."

At Lungisan+ and Seeds&Footprints, we believe in a different kind of support. We have all seen the traditional "relief" image: a family holding a plastic bag of sardines, looking at the ground. While the food helps, that image often carries a hidden weight. It can make a hardworking father feel like a recipient of "mercy" rather than the hero of his home.

This is not that kind of charity.

The current gas crisis is hitting our drivers the hardest. As fuel prices soar, many are left with almost nothing after a long day on the road. We believe this crisis should not strip a father of his pride or his dignity.

Our 18 Alumni and 30 Current Scholars across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao remember who our silent partners were. They were the ones up before the sun at 4:00 AM to ensure we reached our finish line. Now, we are launching a Nationwide Pit Stop to honor them.

🍱 NOT RELIEF, BUT A "PASALUBONG"

We want Kuya to go home and feel like the provider he is. This is not a handout. It is a Pasalubong (a homecoming gift) from a grateful community.

This is not a one-time event. Our aim is to build a continuous cycle of support. As long as the community continues to give, we will keep fueling the lives of drivers throughout the Philippines who need it most.

Any amount makes a difference. Whether it is ₱1, ₱10, or ₱500, every cent restores the dignity of a hardworking father.

The "Salamat Po Kuya" Pack (₱500 / $10 USD):
✅ ₱300 Pasalubong — Premium rice and essentials so Kuya can walk through his door with a smile.
✅ ₱200 Gas Cash — To fuel his livelihood tomorrow so he doesn't start the day in debt.

🕊️ OUR COMMITMENT TO TRANSPARENCY

Yesterday, Yunel graduated satisfactorily.

A simple moment, but a real one. Proof that dreams do move forward, little by little, when someone is given a chance.

This is why we post.

We are not poverty p**n vloggers who profit from other people’s struggles. We do not post to show off. We post for accountability. So the people who trusted us with their support can see that the help reached the right hands. We also post because we know these stories can reach more people who are willing to help.

Barangay Mancayo is one example.
We responded to their cry for help during Typhoon Kristine. Through the posts, more people came to help. What matters is not who came first. What matters is that help came, and we became part of that.

Today, Barangay Mancayo is now one of the first areas prioritized for evacuation during disasters. More people are helping. That is what matters.

There is power in what we share.
When backed by action, it can change someone’s life.

Yunel’s graduation is one of those moments.
From someone holding on to a dream, to someone slowly living it.

We do not stop because of negative voices.

We focus on the people who need help and the people who continue to trust and support.
As we move forward, let this also be a reminder to choose future leaders wisely.

Not everyone who claims to help is doing it for the right reasons.

If you believe in this kind of work, you can be part of it.

March 30, 2022 — Throwback

On this day in 2022, Tropang Lungisan personally delivered a cellphone to Rachelle Ubana from Cobangbang, Daet, Camarines Norte, who was temporarily staying in Purok 3, Brgy. Man-Ogob, San Vicente.

It may not have been brand new, but it became a valuable tool for her education.

Rachelle is one of the beneficiaries of the Gadget for Dreams program. She is one of seven siblings. Her mother earns a living through laundry work, and it was not enough to afford a device for her studies. They also no longer receive support from their father.

Life has not been easy, and raising funds for devices like this has never been simple. Yet faith remained strong that somehow, help would come.
This program was created to support students who dream of finishing their education but lack the means to access the tools they need.

The process was not easy. The number of those in need was far greater than the resources available. Still, through the kindness of many, a way was found.

From validating each recipient to personally delivering the support across different towns in Camarines Norte, every step carried moments of joy, gratitude, and sometimes tears.

Because every phone given was never just a gadget. It was a key. A key to a dream.
To everyone who supported and believed in this program, thank you.

If you would like to help more students like Rachelle, you can support, share, or simply spread the word.

Six years ago today, at the height of the pandemic when everything felt uncertain and the future was unclear, we managed to conduct a feeding program for children.

It was a time when people were confined to their homes and strict social distancing was in place. Many were not only struggling financially, but also dealing with fear, anxiety, and depression.

Despite the risks, we chose to move forward while keeping safety in mind. We believed that people needed more than just basic support. They needed hope and motivation. Not only for families relying on daily assistance, but especially for the children who represent the future.

That is why we continued to organize outreach programs like this. We believe they are the ones who will one day correct the mistakes of our generation.

Throughout the pandemic, with the help of kind-hearted people who believed in our advocacy, we were able to carry out many initiatives. Feeding programs, relief operations, cellphone donations, bayanihan efforts, and assistance for those who needed it most. To name a few, as we have done so much more. You may visit lungisan.org to see more of what we have been able to accomplish together.

We took the risk and stood firm, even when it meant putting ourselves on the line, just to bring a little hope to others.

And to those who helped quietly, without recognition, without expecting anything in return, offering nothing but pure kindness, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are the reason these acts of hope became possible.

As the saying goes, the small things we do today may grow into something much bigger tomorrow and create a lasting impact in ways we may not yet see.

March 1, 2026 was one of those days that reminds us why we keep going.

Life is not always easy. Many of us carry struggles that people do not see. Parents fighting for their families. Children learning to smile even when life is tough. Yet in the middle of it all, we still find reasons to be grateful.

That day we gathered with the kids and their parents. We shared simple food that felt like a celebration. Fried chicken and rice. Chicken biryani. Ice cream for the kids. Grocery packs for the families to take home. But the most important thing we shared was joy. Laughter. Moments where worries were forgotten even for a while.

In Lungisan we still believe that children are the future’s hope. When we see their smiles, we remember why it is worth continuing the fight.

We are deeply grateful to the people and groups who shared their blessings to make this possible.

An additional ₱2,700 sent through Lungisan+ has now been delivered to the family of Beyot Arce.

This assistance was originally intended while she was still confined in the hospital. Yesterday, we were able to deliver it to her family during her wake.
This additional help came from the kindness of the following people:

Anonymous – ₱2,000
Konsi P – ₱500
Aubrey Javier – ₱100
Ate A & Kuya O – ₱100

Maraming salamat to everyone who extended help. Your kindness brought comfort to the family during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Mate. 🙏

Through small acts of kindness, we continue to help families in difficult moments.
