A Throwback to our Future Ready Series!

Our Future Ready Series started with one introductory session at Aspang High School. With my background as an architect and master plumber, I introduced the student participants to the fundamentals of spatial planning and the meaning and use of computer-aided design to construction, guided by the STEMeD Philippines 'framework.

IP Youth in last mile schools often face multiple layers of disadvantage coupled with limited access to opportunity. Sessions like these are not just about software - they are about showing our youth that there is a whole world out there with possibilities beyond what their communities and classrooms have shown.

We hope to roll out additional sessions as soon as face to face classes resume.

Our message is clear - there is no limit to their dreams and they are capable of reaching them.

This is where Future Ready began. And we're just getting started!🧡

Learning Anywhere? PWeDeng Pwede!

Project PWeDe supports Modular Learning of SNED Learners

Last Monday, July 6, we handed out food packs to 50 SNED learners of Lagao National High School, alongside the distribution of their learning modules to their parents/guardians. They will be using the modules while classes remain suspended.

Following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck General Santos City last June, much of the city's school buildings are still regarded as unfit for use - with some reports citing that only 5% are given the clear for resumed occupancy.

For our SNED learners, this means continuing their education at home - a challenge that requires extra patience, understanding, and support from their parents, teachers, and community.

The food packs contained nutritious snacks to support the students as they learn at home. This is our small way of saying that we see them, care for them, and cheer for them as they start this school year - even if it is outside the classroom.

Maraming salamat po sa mga nagpa-abot ng tulong!

Lubos rin po kaming nagpapasalamat sa SPED teachers ng Lagao National High School - LNHS para sa kanilang kooperasyon at dedikasyon para sa ating mga SNED learners. Mabuhay po kayo!

PROJECT PWeDe Supports Aspang High School Psychosocial Support Session

Yesterday, July 3 2026, we had the privilege to be part of Aspang High School's second heartwarming Psychosocial Support Session.

DepEd identified Psychosocial Support (PSS) among the urgent needs of the victims of the recent 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck General Santos City and the nearby municipalities and provinces in Mindanao. PSS refers to "local or external support provided that aims to promote or protect the psychosocial well-being of individuals or groups." (UNICEF, n.d).

PSS sessions are essential in helping individuals process trauma, foster community building, and practice healthier coping mechanisms that all contribute to improved emotional resilience.

In support of this initiative, Project PWeDe was on the ground for the second time to support the teachers, parents, staff, youth and children of Aspang High School (AHS) and Purok Aspang. We previously supported the PSS session of AHS teachers and staff and our second session is dedicated to the parents and guardians of the AHS' students. Around 30 parents, 6 teachers, 2 staff were in attendance, along with 15 children who came along with their parents.

The session was filled with games, laughter, shared stories, and yes, tears. Parents opened up about the anxiety and panic they felt during the earthquake, the uncertainty of not knowing where to run, and the quiet lingering fear that they carry as aftershocks continue to ravage the city. Warnings of bigger earthquakes especially the "Big One", pulled the heartstrings of parents with relatives in Metro Manila.

Yet, in the middle of all that fear and anxiety, profound gratitude and the strong sense of community echoed through. Despite damaged homes and disrupted livelihoods, every one is safe and families are whole.

Project PWeDe lovingly prepared the hot meals that the participants thoroughly enjoyed after the session - a small act that we hope made them feel seen and cared for.

🎉 1,502 MEALS AND COUNTING! One Week of Serving Hope at Walang Gutom Kitchen Cebu ❤️

Sa loob pa lamang ng isang linggo mula nang magbukas ang Walang Gutom Kitchen Cebu, 1,502 na ang kabuuang bilang ng mga pagkaing naihain para sa ating mga kababayan.

Patunay ito ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng pamahalaan, sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., na mailapit ang libre at masustansyang pagkain sa mas maraming Pilipino at makatulong sa pagtugon sa involuntary hunger sa bansa.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nakiisa at patuloy na sumusuporta sa misyong ito ng DSWD. Sama-sama nating ipagpatuloy ang paghahatid ng pag-asa at malasakit, habang tinitiyak na mas marami pang pamilya at indibidwal na kabilang sa mga vulnerable sectors ang naaabot ng Walang Gutom Kitchen. 🍽️

Project PWeDe Donation Drive Transparency Report

Sa nakalipas na ilang araw ay nakapaglikom po tayo ng donasyong pera para maipagpatuloy po ang ating pagtulong sa mga naapektuhan ng lindol at aftershocks.

Ito po ang kompletong transparency report ng ating nalikom na donasyon na atin pong gagamitin para suportahan ang psychological at psychosocial activities na isasagawa sa mga nalalapit na araw.
