Our Solid Waste Disposal Facility is currently undergoing closure and rehabilitation. We respectfully ask for the cooperation and responsible participation of every member of our community in helping us properly manage our waste disposal facility.

Let us all do our part to protect our environment by practicing waste segregation at source. Unsegregated waste should never end up in our facility, as it hampers rehabilitation efforts, reduces the facility’s remaining capacity, and contributes to environmental pollution.

Protecting our environment is a shared responsibility. Together, through proper waste segregation and responsible waste management, we can ensure a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable community for everyone.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please be informed that effective immediately, the LGU Culaba MENRO will no longer collect unsegregated waste from any barangay.

This measure is necessary because the Municipal Solid Waste Disposal Facility is currently under the Safe Closure and Rehabilitation implementation and is subject to regular monitoring and inspection by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). In addition, the Residual Containment Area (RCA) has limited remaining capacity and can only accommodate properly managed residual waste.

Please be reminded that the Municipality has been implementing and repeatedly reminding all barangays of the “No Segregation, No Collection” policy since April 2026, providing ample time for the full implementation of segregation at source in accordance with Republic Act No. 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000).

Accordingly, only properly segregated residual waste shall be accepted for collection. Unsegregated waste will no longer be collected and will be left at the point of collection until it has been properly segregated by the concerned barangay.

We respectfully request all barangays to strengthen the implementation of waste segregation at source, maximize the operation of their Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs), apply the knowledge gained from the trainings and seminars conducted in Cebu and Baguio City and ensure that residents comply with the municipal solid waste management policies.

Your cooperation is essential in ensuring compliance with environmental laws, extending the service life of the Residual Containment Area, and protecting the environment.

The Earth overshoots today.

In just seven months, we have depleted all the natural resources the planet can regenerate in a year. What should last 12 months is gone, leaving us in ecological debt.

From this day forward, we are operating in an ecological deficit, using more resources than the Earth can regenerate within the year. Forests shrink, oceans strain, and ecosystems are pushed beyond their limits. This is not just a date, it is a warning that our current path is unsustainable.

We cannot afford to keep living beyond the planet’s means. The time to act is now. Delay overshoot. Restore balance. Protect our only home.

Ang mga luma o sirang gadget at appliances ay hindi dapat itapon kasama ng ordinaryong basura.

Ang Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) o e-waste ay tumutukoy sa mga sira, luma, o hindi na ginagamit na kagamitang de-kuryente at elektroniko, tulad ng cellphone, laptop, charger, telebisyon, electric fan, at iba pang electronic at electrical devices.

Ang mga ito ay nangangailangan ng tamang koleksyon at wastong pamamahala upang matiyak ang ligtas na pagproseso at pagre-recycle.

Halina't alamin at isabuhay ang tamang pamamahala ng e-waste para sa mas malinis at mas ligtas na Lungsod ng Maynila. ♻️

'' Lamang ang may alam sa pag-segregate ng basura''

Kasi kung alam natin kung paano mag hiwalay ng basura, mas madali para sa atin at sa kalikasan.

Halimbawa ng mga basic segregate ng basura:

Nabubulok/Biogegradable - Mga balat ng prutas, tira-tirang pagkain, mga dahon at papel.

Hindi nabubulok/Non-Biogegradable- Mga plastic at lata

Nakakalason/specail waste- mga gamot, spray can at baterya at iba pa.

Bakit mahalaga ito?
1. Mas madaling ma recycle -hindi masasayang yung mga plastic at papel
2. Mas kaunting basura sa landfill-hindi agad mapupuno
3. Mas malinis na komunidad-iwas baha at iwas sakit
4. Nakakatulong sa MENRO-mas mabilis nag collection at processing
