Every dream counts, and every child deserves a chance. We introduce Precious, a hardworking and determined college student from Banga, South Cotabato, and a scholar of the Valentin and Claudia Asuncion Foundation.

Despite the challenges in life and limited opportunities, she continues to work hard to finish her studies and achieve a brighter future. The scholarship she received served as a great help and inspiration to continue her education.

More than financial aid, it was a symbol of trust, belief, and care that gave her the strength to dream higher. With every lesson she learns, she brings with her the desire to be an inspiration to fellow youth and to give back to the community.

Many of the world's most vulnerable children are missing out on simple opportunity that could help them lift themselves out of poverty and improve their lives. That's why we've launched our KIDukasyon: Sponsor-a-Child Program, a simple way to provide a child in need with the support and resources they need to reach their full potential.

This Holy Week, we are reminded of the power of grace.

As we commemorate Easter, it is an important opportunity for us to pause in our busy world and reflect on our steps.
This time is an invitation to open our hearts, forgive mistakes made, and let go of any burdens we carry.

Above all, it is a time of heartfelt gratitude for all the blessings that continue to flow into our lives, whether small or large. Here at VCAF, we believe that the true spirit of this week is found in loving and helping our neighbors, especially the children we serve.

May these days be a way for us to be even more humble and grateful for every opportunity given to us.

Happy National Reading Month from the Valentin and Claudia Asuncion Foundation (VCAF).

Reading is the key to knowledge that opens the door for every child to dream and succeed in life. Our foundation believes that through books, our youth’s horizons are broadened and their foundation for the future is strengthened.

Every page read is a step towards deeper understanding and greater wisdom for our community. VCAF joins in this celebration to promote a love of language and literature that will serve as a guide for all of us.

Together, let’s cultivate the culture of reading and make it an inspiration in our daily lives.
