Today, we gather with gratitude and joy as we celebrate the 31st founding anniversary of the Cotabato Bahay Maria Foundation Inc., a home dedicated to caring for the Aged, Sick, and Dying persons. It is a special day for us to reflect on our journey, our mission, and the countless lives we have touched over the years.
From humble beginnings—just six clients and a tiny house made of coco lumber—Bahay Maria has grown into a sanctuary with seven beautiful buildings, providing a warm and loving environment for almost hundreds of residents. This growth is a testament to the love, dedication, and faith of everyone who has been part of our mission.
Above all, we thank God for His unwavering grace and provision. It is through His blessings that we are able to meet our daily needs, survive, and continue our service. We also lift our prayers to our Blessed Virgin Mary, who has always answered our daily petitions through the Holy Rosary, guiding us with her maternal care.
Our mission remains steadfast—to alleviate the suffering and sickness of our residents through medical assistance, spiritual counseling, and compassionate caregiving. For 31 years, we are grateful to our founder, Bishop Jose Colin M. Bagaforo, DD, and the Carmelite Sisters of Vedruna Congregation, who started Bahay Maria with a vision of love and service.
We also thank the Archdiocese of Cotabato, led by Archbishop Charlie M. Inzon, OMI, DD, Bahay Maria Board of Trustees and the Siervas Sisters Congregation, who have managed Bahay Maria for almost 11 years with dedication and faith.
To our benefactors, sponsors, and donors—your blessings and generosity have been the backbone of our foundation. To the local government units, schools—from elementary to college, civic organizations, religious groups, families, and individuals—your support has been invaluable in helping us serve our residents.
As we celebrate today, let us remember that Bahay Maria is more than just a home; it is a family built on love, faith, and service. May we continue to be a beacon of hope and compassion for those in need.
Thank you all for your unwavering support, and may God bless us all abundantly.
Happy 31st Anniversary!
