INDIGAY SA BALAK MECHANICS
1. Only bonafide students from Cebu City based schools and youth from any of the 80 barangays in Cebu City who are between 15-30 years old are allowed to join.
2. There is no maximum number of participating students from each school and youth from each barangay. Interested participants must register online through this link:

Please note, that the deadline of the online registration will be on January 31, 2023, at 5:00 o'clock pm.
3. The face to face elimination will be on February 12, 2023, at One Fine Pictures Photo Studio located at the lower groud level of Robinsons Galleria. Please wear plain black shirt and jeans for the face to face elimination.
4. All interested participants for Face to Face Elimination, must submit an original "BALAK" piece, not copied or translated from other works or authors.
5. Applicant’s “BALAK” piece must be submitted in (Times New Roman font style, 11 would be its font size, 1.5 spacing, must be justified, normal default, margin of 1 inch in all sides; and on A4 white paper with no other markings other than the title of the piece. Once the piece is done, this must be submitted to the [email protected] on or before 5:00 o'clock pm of February 11, 2023.
6. All entries must be written in Cebuano language and must not exceed in three (3) pages.
7. Criteria for judging in both Face to Face Elimination and Grand Finals are as follows;
Mastery of Piece= 15%
Confidence= 15%
Diction= 15%
Overall Performance= 15%
Voice Quality= 20%
Originality= 20%
8. The Top 10 Balak Finalists will be chosen and will advance to compete in the grand finals on February 18, 2023. The official venue of the said event will be announced soon.
9. Entries which have not followed the guidelines of this contest are automatically disqualified.
10. Prizes:
📌Champion: 20,000
📌1st Runner Up: 15,000
📌2nd Runner Up: 10,000
📌Consolation Prize: 2,000
11. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.
