Pspspsps!

Ah, yes, campus animals. We are all well-acquainted with the mingmings and dodoys roaming around the campuses of USC. These beloved community animals are commonly seen wagging their tails or meowing for attention, providing a sense of comfort and familiarity to the students going between hallways and buildings to catch their next class.

However, despite how sweet and cute they may look with eyes that seem to beg ‘pet me!’, we must always be careful in how we approach animals we don’t really know. Seemingly well-intentioned actions may end up harming them in the long-term, and we may not realize it until it’s too late. The opposite may even occur. Students who try to extend a hand to pet may be met with a bite or scratch. Most of the time, they only do it because they were frightened by a sudden, unwanted movement, though!

Thus, we prepared a guide on the do’s and dont’s on how to treat the campus animals to mitigate such instances from happening in order to keep you and the stray safe!

(Disclaimer: Please note that stray animals can be unpredictable creatures and to always exercise caution in your interactions with them.)

As Pawrolinan, we believe caring for our furry friends goes beyond giving them food and affection. It also means knowing the signs when something might be wrong. To help our community stay informed, we have put together a list of common diseases that can affect your pets and our campus animals.

Awareness is the first step toward prevention. If you observe any of these symptoms in our community animals, don’t hesitate to reach out to our page or flag it to a veterinarian right away.

From the excited greetings at the door to the quiet moments of comfort when we need it most, our pets have a special way of turning ordinary days into something meaningful. 🐶🐱🐦

So today, give your furry friend a little extra love. A longer walk, an extra treat, more cuddles, or just your time and attention. Because while they may only be part of our lives, to them, we are their whole world. 🥹
