The DOJ-PPA Region VII designated SPPO Faith Kirstie Yam, PPO II Christian Abarca, and PPO II Niña Rose Anne Rebayla as resource facilitators for the Seminar-Workshop on Strengthening Supervision-Related Reports Submission and Improving Compliance with Performance Targets, held on October 16, 2026, at Reyna’s Haven, New Calceta Street, Tagbilaran City. The activity aimed to enhance personnel’s knowledge and understanding of reporting requirements, strengthen compliance with established performance targets, and promote the timely and accurate submission of supervision-related reports in support of the Administration’s commitment to efficient and effective public service.

The DOJ–Parole and Probation Administration (DOJ-PPA) Region VII expresses its support and actively participates in the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐬’ 𝐂𝐏𝐃𝐑𝐂 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 on October 22, 2026 at the 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 (𝐂𝐏𝐃𝐑𝐂), in coordination with CPDRC Jail Warden Montejo. This collaboration reflects the Administration’s commitment to strengthening inter-agency partnerships, promoting rehabilitation and restorative justice, and supporting initiatives that contribute to the reformation and reintegration of persons deprived of liberty into the community.

🌱 𝐀 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞

At 59, “Nanay Pita” thought she had lost her chance to build a better future. Through 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙇.𝘼.𝘽.𝘼.𝙉.𝙂. of the Cebu City Parole and Probation Office No. 1 (CPPO1), she regained hope, learned new skills, and found ways to support her family through her small business.

The project equips probationers and former clients with practical skills and livelihood opportunities to help them become self-reliant. Another initiative, 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝘼𝙈𝙐𝙈𝘼, provides well-being support, including medical and psychosocial services, to clients who lack family support or a home to return to.

Together, the two projects have assisted 92 clients, providing opportunities for rehabilitation, livelihood, and reintegration into the community.

These initiatives support the national government's goal of helping former offenders rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society, in line with the Philippine Development Plan 2023–2028 under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞–𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐃𝐎𝐉-𝐏𝐏𝐀) participates in 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 𝐀𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐬), held at 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥, 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲. The training is one of the flagship projects of the 𝐃𝐎𝐉 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐃𝐎𝐉 𝐇𝐑𝐎) for 2026.

Aligned with the Department’s commitment to strengthening human rights advocacy, the training seeks to deepen the understanding of prosecutors, attorneys, officers, and personnel from the DOJ and its attached agencies regarding the Department’s human rights programs and initiatives. It also promotes a human rights-based approach to justice, fosters inter-agency collaboration, and encourages the development of actionable recommendations to strengthen human rights protection and improve the delivery of justice.

Through its participation, the DOJ-PPA reaffirms its commitment to upholding human dignity, protecting fundamental rights, and promoting fairness and justice in the administration of parole and probation services.
