The Central Visayas Association for Volunteer Efforts (CVAVE), a non-stock, non-profit, non government organization which was organized on November 30, 1999. This was a result of the conference initiated by the Civil Service Commission and the Philippine Association for Volunteer Efforts (PAVE) which was then headed by Mrs. Virginia Davide who was the former Executive Director of the Philippine Na

tional Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA attached to NEDA). Felix Abella, Retired Director of the Bureau of Lands were inducted into office by the former Chief Justice Hilario Davide, Jr. It was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on May 26, 2000 with Registration number C200000537. CVAVE is registered with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as a Tax-Exempt organization. It is accredited by the Cebu City government and the Department of Social Welfare and Development as a non-government organization. CVAVE is a member of the Cebu City Development Council and a member of the Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Older Persons (RIACOP).
