𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐂𝐒 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬

The Computing Society of the Philippines - Students (CSP-S) proudly recognizes the outstanding achievement of our Computer Science students during the CCS Research Congress held last May 13, 2026, at the UC Jones Auditorium.

Through their research entitled “Faculytics 2.0: A Data Mining Approach for Feedback Analysis, Generating Actionable Insights and Recommendations,” the team demonstrated excellence in innovation, research, and presentation. Their study earned the following distinctions:

🥇 1st Place – Poster Presentation
🎤 Best Presenters (Student Category) – Norhanah M. Umpar & Leander Lorenz B. Lubguban

This remarkable accomplishment was made possible through the dedication and collaborative efforts of Ethan Patrick G. Bandebas, Leander Lorenz B. Lubguban, Harvie S. Purgatorio, and Norhanah M. Umpar. Their success reflects the commitment of our students to academic excellence, research innovation, and meaningful contributions to the field of computing.

The CSP-S organization extends its sincerest congratulations and appreciation to the team for bringing pride and honor to the department.

𝐄𝐢𝐝 𝐌𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐤!

As we celebrate the blessed occasion of Eid’l Adha, may this day remind us of the values of faith, sacrifice, compassion, and unity. May the spirit of generosity and gratitude continue to inspire us to support one another and strengthen the bonds within our community. To all our Muslim brothers and sisters, we extend our warmest greetings and prayers for peace, happiness, and countless blessings for you and your families.

The celebration of Eid’l Adha is also a reminder that true leadership and service come from sincerity, humility, and kindness toward others. Honoring Dedication and Service: A Heartfelt Recognition to the CSP-S Team

As the academic year concludes, the Computing Society of the Philippines - Students (CSP-S) extends its formal appreciation and deepest gratitude to our dedicated volunteers and officers. Your unconditional service and commitment to the computing student body throughout AY 2025–2026 have been vital to our community's success.

To honor this outstanding dedication, a recognition ceremony was held on May 25 at Lab 542, where team members were awarded certificates of appreciation.

We express our sincere thanks to the CSP-S President, Mr. Pondar, our organization adviser, Mr. Ferolino, and our former assistant adviser, Mr. Baral, for presiding over the ceremony and presenting these honors. Thank you to everyone who contributed to a remarkable and impactful year.

In line with the official announcement of 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹, 𝑪𝒆𝒃𝒖 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚 has been placed under a special non-working holiday from 𝗠𝗮𝘆 6 𝘁𝗼 8 (𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆). The declaration covers Cebu City and Mandaue City, alongside previously identified areas including Lapu-Lapu City and Cordova, in support of the 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 2026.

In relation to this announcement, the institution aligns with the directive. Classes are 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 starting from 12 𝗻𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆. Classes will resume on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟵.
