John is a true cornerstone of our Toastmasters community. His dedication is visible across multiple clubs - including Fun N' Fairways, Banggiitan Advanced, and Queen City Toastmasters amongst others - and through the countless vital roles he has held for District 75. Fresh off a stellar term as the Immediate Past Division Director of Division U, he brings an unmatched wealth of experience to this new frontier.

But what truly makes John a leader like no other is his soul: he is a genuine romantic at heart. He sees the poetry in every member's journey, the beauty in watching a new club flourish, and the magic that happens when people find their voice. He doesn't just build clubs; he nurtures communities with passion and grace.

What happens when Fun N’ Fairways joins forces with Cebu Midtown Toastmasters Club? Absolute toastmaster magic!

We opened the brand-new term with a high-spirited joint meeting centered on the ultimate theme: Life Maxxing! 💎💯

Our very own Fairwayan President Niño Mike D. Torrevillas took the stage as the charismatic Toastmaster of the Evening, masterfully piloting a packed room overflowing with an incredible crowd of guests and supportive members! 🎙️✨

To push our quality straight to the maximum, we were deeply honored to have District 75 Program Quality Director, Jedfrey Tan, DTM, step in as our General Evaluator. Talk about starting the year with elite standards! 🌟📋

If this first meeting is any indication of the energy, growth, and community waiting for us this term, then guess what? It only gets better from here! 🙌👑

Small Package, Absolute Toastmasters Powerhouse 👑🔥

Please bow down (literally hehe) to our incoming Vice President for Education, the legendary DTM Joy Ebarita Alimpangog!

Joy is a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), a former Division C Director, and a Past President of our club. She has been in Toastmasters so long and achieved so much that her DNA is probably shaped like a gavel. Her leadership endurance is deeply inspirational—she has survived the highest levels of regional leadership and still willingly came back for the most stressful job in the club: the VPE.

But let’s be completely honest about the defining trait of our new education boss: She is small, but truly TERRIBLE! 😉

Do not let her compact frame fool you. Joy possesses the kind of terrifying, concentrated authority that can make a grown man tremble just by asking, "Have you logged into Pathways yet?"

What to expect from VPE Joy this term?

She has zero blind spots. You think you can avoid her speech-scheduling messages? She is pocket-sized, which means she can easily sneak up behind you at a meeting and insert you into a 5-to-7-minute slot before you can even say "Hi, Direk!".

The woman has immunity to excuses. She has ruled an entire Division. Your excuse of "I was too busy to write a speech." will be instantly dismantled by a single, devastatingly sweet smile.

We are incredibly honored to have a certified Toastmasters titan running our educational program. Prepare your speeches, everyone - Joy is watching, and she does not take "no" for an answer.

Let’s give a massive, high-vibe welcome to our incoming Vice President for Membership (VPM), Meriam Lyn Atlao!

Meriam is one of the newest additions to our club family, which means she still possesses pure joy, uncorrupted hope, and actual energy. In fact, she has done so much to uplift our club spirit in such a short time that the ExeCom immediately tricked (cough) we mean, invited her into a leadership role before she realized what she was getting into.

Why Meriam is the ultimate weapon for our club growth?

Her aggressive positivity is undeniable. Meriam is so fun-loving and inspirational that just standing near her makes you want to sign up for three consecutive year. Her positive vibes are contagious.

She got such terrifying leadership potential. She may be a rookie, but she is already exhibiting major "Future President" energy. We honestly can't wait to see the incredible things she will achieve this term, mostly because her current momentum is unstoppable.

The Rookie Who Speed-Ran His Way to the Top 🏃‍♂️📸

Please give a high-energy welcome to our incoming Vice President for Public Relations (VPPR), Adrianne Ma. R. Angus!

Adrianne joined the club approximately five minutes ago, and somehow, he’s already running our entire public image. Most newbies spend their first few weeks quietly figuring out what a "Timer" does, but Adrianne walked in, flashed a charismatic smile, did a year's worth of club work in a single weekend, and snatched a seat on the ExeCom. Absolute legend behavior!

Why we are equal parts excited and exhausted by him?

First, he weaponized charisma. He is incredibly fun-loving and has so much natural energy he makes espresso look like a sleeping pill. If you aren't smiling around Adrianne, you might need to check your pulse.

And mostly, he is the chosen one. This man is absolutely bursting with potential. We cannot wait to see the great things he will achieve this term - mostly because at his current pace, he’ll probably be the International President by next Tuesday.

Meeting Minutes Have No Business Looking This Good... 😍📝

Let’s welcome a man who proves you can have runway-model looks and a severely type-A personality, our incoming Secretary and Division U Program Quality Director (PQD), Jericho Paolo Bacalso!

Jericho is a certified Toastmasters heartthrob. Usually, guys with his face value are starring in romantic stories. Instead, Jericho uses his charms to aggressively track club attendance and format excel spreadsheets.

Why we love (and fear) him?

Your ex might ghost you, but Jericho? He will email you the meeting minutes before you’ve even started your car to drive home.

He is also literally the Division U PQD - tasked with maintaining educational quality for an entire region. But at Fun N' Fairways, he’s still the guy who has to write down who left early to avoid paying for dinner.

From Ruling the Division to Chasing Your Membership Dues. 💸🏓

Please bow your heads in respect for a man who has more titles than a royal family, more Toastmasters experience than all of FNF combined, and a severe addiction to the sport of pickleball - John Fitzgerald Icamen!

John is officially stepping into the role of incoming Treasurer for Fun N' Fairways Toastmasters Club.

To put this in perspective, John’s current resume looks like a corporate takeover, to wit:

👑 Immediate Past Division U Director - He basically just finished ruling our entire slice of the Toastmasters empire.

📈 Incoming Division U Club Growth Director - He is literally tasked with expanding the kingdom.

🦖 Seasoned Toastmaster - He has been around so long, his blood type is probably "Table Topics".

🏓 Pickleball Fanatic - If he’s not giving a speech, he is actively lobbing a plastic ball at someone's face.

And yet, despite being a certified regional titan, his new job at our club is to send you passive-aggressive facebook messenger reminders because you forgot to pay your renewal fees. It’s the equivalent of hiring a Fortune 500 CEO to manage the cash register at a neighborhood lemonade stand. We love the humility!

We can expect great things from Treasurer John. First, the Pickleball Defense, John treats the club bank account like the "kitchen" line on a pickleball court. If your payment is out of bounds, he will smash an invoice right back at your shins. Do not d**k around with his budget.

And of the Immunity to Excuses, do not attempt to use your advanced Table Topics skills to explain why your bank transfer failed. John knows all the tricks. He invented half of them.

We are incredibly lucky to have someone this ridiculously overqualified guarding our treasury. Welcome to the hot seat, John! We promise to pay on time so you don't challenge us to a match.
